BSG rambling
Contains spoilers for 2.11.... and speculation for 2.12.
1. Kara isn't new to assassination. Yeah,Lockley Cain might be a woman, and might be her commanding officer, but she's as batshit insane as Zarek. And Kara was perfectly willing to shoot him. Cain will just be closer.
2. I think Gina told them she was a Cylon. She thought they'd kill her and it would all be over with. I'm not sure if her mission was to kill Cain, but that'd be my guess.
3. Captain Lockley is still really annoying. (er, sorry, watching B5).
Ahem.
3. Cain raiding the civvie ships was expected. They're really not going for shades of grey with her. That said, like Sgt. Hadrian, she is still just trying to do her job--according to some whacked-out version of military standards.
4. I'm sure there was more I wanted to ramble about, but I'm being distracted.

Cain is...it totally depends on what Adama told Kara. If she knows what Cain did to the civilians, it will look more like a necessary execution, albeit in cold blood, which isn't exactly the same thing. If Adama didn't share the information, it really looks like Kara is asked to murder someone just to allow for a power grab. Her unease when Roslin gave the order to space Leoben after they ascertained that there was no bomb shows that she really isn't comfortable killing people she doesn't perceive as really dangerous. I wish we had a clearer idea of what Kara knows.

I still don't see much difference, when it's all stripped down to basics: Zarek = bad. Cain = bad.
Part of the Leoben thing always seemed to be more that he'd gotten under her skin, and Roslin promised him safety. Kara's big on not going back on your word (which makes me guess her shooting a superior officer is also harder, simply because she's massacring her own oath as an officer).
She certainly didn't seem to have a problem with Roslin tossing Sharon out--but then, it was right after she'd found out Sharon shot Adama. She can be forgiven a little anger.

OMG THEY TALKED ABOUT GOING BACK TO CAPRICA BECAUSE THEY HAVE PEOPLE THERE. ANDERS IS ON CAPRICA. OMG YAY ANDERS!
. . . okay, I lied. I also developed a really bizarre fascination with Cally's ponytail and kept rewatching that scene to stare at it.
