yep, girls, she's definitely NOT into...

Teh gay sex.

At all.

Like... just, no.

I was randomly poking at gaycylonLee's (*sniffle*) lj, and there was rp boysex, and... I ran. Because I think I am afraid of two dicks. Or something.

There is interest when there's a woman involved (OT3 or het). But a penis on its own is kinda like boring and clinical.

So, bring on the het, the OT3, and the lesbians.

Eh?

[identity profile] jacksrubberduck.livejournal.com 2005-09-18 09:50 pm (UTC)(link)
Maybe it's cos you can't relate to it.

I find the whole not being a man nor ever having had a penis issue prevents me from finding m/m anything other than mildly curious.

It was just an observation. I'm kind of sick of the "OMG you're a woman, so you MUST like seeing two guys have sex!" attitude that's pretty damned prevalent.

[identity profile] lyssie.livejournal.com 2005-09-18 09:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Possibly.

I used to think there was something wrong with me because I was a woman and didn't think two guys having sex was hot.

I can get into it, although not in a broad, all-consuming sort of way. I like the male/female dynamic too much for that. But I find the male form very beautiful and so two men together is hot to me. But I think you find the female form more beautiful than the male, so that makes perfect sense to me.

[identity profile] maddeinin.livejournal.com 2005-09-18 10:01 pm (UTC)(link)
omg yay! So there with you. It's really... perplexing, the extent to which people adore the mslash in fandom.

[identity profile] lavidaessueno.livejournal.com 2005-09-18 10:16 pm (UTC)(link)
see, that's the one combination I'd just as soon never see again.

(yes, I have walked in on a m/m couple, and no, it was not hot)

With the exception of Smallville, slash doesn't do much for me, and even there I prefer OT3. There has to be a woman involved (but only one — femslash bores me because I'm not wired that way) for me to be at all interested.

[identity profile] lytarules.livejournal.com 2005-09-18 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Word. Absolutely.

And people who find it hot? Fine, whatever. I like fried okra, so I can't point at other people's tastes and say bad things. Just don't call me names for not finding m/m sex overwhelmingly hot.

But I don't get the women who think anything involving a vagina is icky, and only m/m sex is hot. I mean, to each his/her own, but do they really think their own vagina is icky? That's not evil or anything, but it seems kinda sad to me.

[identity profile] lytarules.livejournal.com 2005-09-18 10:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Nothing wrong with you, hon. You recognize your own vagina-ness and don't see anything wrong with being penis-less. It's called self esteem.

Heh. I don't meant to mock them. I just, occasionally, like the only person who is unimpressed by it, and doesn't understand the massive, massive attention it gets (which I am adding to, oh, hubris).

I wasn't even considering that. Mostly because it's a can of worms I don't want to open.

And not even just in fandom. I've been at work and had the women there talk about how hot two guys going at it are... And just... been disturbed.

aha. This is actually probably quite true. This is not to say I don't find men attractive (hello, random Paul McGann lust). Because I do. I definitely do.

[identity profile] antikythera.livejournal.com 2005-09-18 11:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Heh. I was always confused by the porn cliche of hiding the man's face and showing the woman's reactions, when it's porn for men. Doesn't the male audience want to know what the man in the movie is feeling, because they can relate to it?

[identity profile] lyssie.livejournal.com 2005-09-18 11:34 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope. They want naked women. At least, that was the general consensus in the discussion of porn last night at A.j.'s. Men want naked women. Women want all sorts of different things.

[identity profile] timjr.livejournal.com 2005-09-19 12:03 am (UTC)(link)
Yep. That's pretty much the case when it comes straight guys.

The whole focus during porn thing has to do with viewer identification, point-of-view, and the male gaze and all that. I could probably write an essay on it, just because that's the sort of thing I've been studying at college the past 3 years.

Erm, the technical stuff I mean. Not the porn.

[identity profile] nique.livejournal.com 2005-09-19 12:26 am (UTC)(link)
Riiiiight. We believe you. ;)

But, yeah. It's all about the guys being able to substitute themselves in mentally for the male star. Thus why ugly men can be in porn.

I don't understand what people don't understand about women not liking that.

[identity profile] stellie.livejournal.com 2005-09-19 02:13 am (UTC)(link)
There was a clinical study:
Heterosexual men generally almost-always respond to het.
Homosexual men generally almost-always respond to m/m.
Women of any sexual preference tend to respond to all types.

Hi! Random person following from friends!friends :D ...and, uh... leaving, now .-.

To be honest, I never even knew that some women liked seeing that sort of thing until I set up a Live Journal and began observing ladies chatting about it a lot in sci-fi fanfictions. Call me silly, but it's true.
