A friend and I got into a whole "bitch, please" over the announcement that a male actor would be the new regular cast member. Didn't matter who he was, didn't matter what show he was on, didn't matter that there probably aren't that many high-ranking combat-ready female officers who can just show up.

Simple fact? The show needs another Female. Tauri. Recurring. Character.
