random spoilers

NCIS from last week (again), and House from this week.

NCIS - Kate and Tony: still siblings. Even down to the "Omg we hate each other!" vibes that change when one is injured/sick... Which is kinda cute, and.. reminds me of the Walton Family.

Tony's lungs: Wow, they're going to come back fast, aren't they? Iirc, lung-damage takes up to 10 years for the body to repair. And he was BLEEDING... And they thought he was dying... And yet, omg, he's going to be fine in ten minutes? Yeah... uh-huh.

House - I love the way they put this episode together. It was cool as HELL. And House! Hah. I'm amused. Previews were All About His Ex, and she was in, like, two minutes, total... *snigger* Next week looks almost as stupidly painful as this week did. *eyeroll*

I very much enjoyed House. Brain is well and truly fried, as I did not figure out this was Backstory. To quote Buffy, Fire bad. Tree pretty.

Actually caught House tonight. (The DH was too distracted to be squicked, so it was cool.) It was brilliantly done. I kind of suspected he was talking about himself, but it wasn't like it was blatantly obvious until they hit you with it. (His acting in the flashbacks was superb, no?) And I loved the rest of the crew coming in to listen - it gives the impression of how strongly they feel toward him, despite how caustic he is.

*beats novel*

I... Was suspecting something, simply because of the Girlfriend thingie. But, yes. Nicely done and out of left field and stuff.

I could get into this. People should respond to me with Kara icons...

*nods* It was a very well-done ep, from the editing to the pacing to the way they shifted back and forth.

It made me happy. Even the whole Carmen Electra thing didn't bother me. Amazing they pulled that part off without it being annoying.

It was a beautifully made episode that seriously deserves a directing award or ten (also writing and editing). The structure was a good choice for the story they were telling. it wasn't just non-linear to be non-linear as happens on certain other shows. They dropped just enough hints you could start to figure it out for yourself well before the big reveal. It was a nice choice for touching on the back-story without being too heavy-handed or giving away too much. I am concerned they're near the line of making House a little too sympathetic, but they're not over it, yet.

*lemmings and goes with the Kara icon*

We can hope. *keeps fingers crossed*

And, no, it was nice to see them dropping in the backstory. And that he was an ass even before the leg. The leg just made him crankier.
