I've been a Farscape fan since sometime in season 1, when I realized that Ben Browder played John like a human equivalent of a Golden Retriever, complete with total befuzzlement. He came across to me like someone who's just been whacked upside the head with a two-by-four and just can't figure out, for the life of him, why. For some reason, that appeals to me (makes me laugh, which should worry me).
THEN Season 2 picked up the pace and started punching home with PLOT, omg! And they started doing things they'd never get away with on the big four. And they made John kinda dark, in a way, but also very real. I don't think Ben Browder has ever been given a role like that, and it just might be the once-in-a-lifetime shot. He acted the hell out of it and omg, I love it.
Sliders vs. Dr. Who? *blinks* Sliders was a series with such potential, all untapped. *sniffle*
