Professor Charles Xavier, interrupting wet dreams since 1976...

Actually, probably earlier.

Timey and I were watching episodes of the X-Men cartoon, and they're a good explanation for why so many people think Cyclops is an asshat. Because he is one in these episodes.

Stupid people writing him that badly. He's also wishywashy.

"ohmigodyou're a pirate and a criminal I hate you!"
"You're my dad? I love you!"
"ohmigodyou're a pirate and a criminal I hate you!"
"You're my dad? I love you!"
"ohmigodyou're a pirate and a criminal I hate you!"
"You're my dad? I love you!"
"ohmigodyou're a pirate and a criminal I hate you!"
"You're my dad? I love you!"

That? Happened, like, seven times in the episode we were watching.

And then we watched the X-Factor episode and giggled at Alex and Scott trying to take each other out. heeheheheheheheh.

Hrm.

If I told you I no longer like that cartoon at all, would you still love me?

I love the xmen cartoons. So much joy.

And I don't like Scott. At all. :hides:

Dude!

Scott rocks! Well, Scott from about 1978-1999 comicswise rocks. I have no voiceable opinion on other Scotts.

*kicks Morrison HARD*

Ignore the cartoon version. Scott is basically Sam, but male (and not a scientist). He has Issues with being abandoned. Poor boy. And his children are screwed, too. Plus? Like Sam, his dad is a space pirate.

Ooooo!

...Dude. Wow. Understatement of the millenium.

*snickers* True...

Perhaps this would have been the more appropriate icon to use.

Screwed up? Naaaaaaaaah!

Yup. Because Stryfe us totally his baby... heheheheh.

Awwww, I miss X-Men cartoons! Also? There should be more Corsair fic. He's a *space pirate*, for god's sake. Space pirates are COOL. Even if (especially if?) their girlfriends are actually CATS.

X episodes? Where? I miss those muchly--I only have a few on tape. I wish they'd release them on DVD, or start re-running them, because--yes, with the dorky and silly, but--so much fun. :)

On tape, actually. Between the two of us, we have a scary amount. *g*

I don't know about that last one... Cats are... irritating as people.

And there should totally be more Corsair fic. You write it. ;)

Oh, yeah...

[identity profile] nique.livejournal.com 2004-11-14 10:46 am (UTC)(link)
We saw where all that misplaced rage came from... obviously the reason Scott is so tightly clenched it to keep it from showing. Stryfe obviously has no such concerns. ;)

Which cartoon? The early 90s one (i.e. not Evolution)? 'Cause, yeah, there was some strangeness going on there sometimes.

OTOH, ten years on I'm still amazed they managed to pull of a not-entirely-trainwrecky adaptation of the Phoenix saga on a freakin' kids cartoon! Apparently at one point they were even going to leave D'Bari inhabited...

Early 90's, yup.

It has lots of fun bits (dude! X-Force is the reason Nate was REALLY trashing Slave Island! They had his girlfriend!)
