That was maybe the best long fic I've read in a long, long time (too many 'long's? Maybe. I don't care.)

I *like* that there's such a sense of backstory, that these aren't the same characters we see on the show right now. I like that I can still see who they used to be.

I loved that Sam being preganant wasn't a joyous, gooey event filled with baby showers and streamers and Jack handing out bubble gum cigars but did work out to be a happy, good thing.

I like that Sam and Jack tried with the making out and it didn't work the first time. I like that the sex kinda sucked in the beginning but they were *in* the relationship enough to keep trying. I liked that there was no smut (even though you do *great smut*) because I think the story was more powerful without it.

I liked that even though we didn't get much Teal'c, he was still one of the main personas in the story, was the actual reason a lot of things happened.

Oh! And I loved Davis marrying Sarah. There are *so* many unspoken complications there, and just a hint of something sinister, what with the speedy promotions and the marrying a former goa'uld and what not. Hmm.

I liked that ending up in Atlantis became more than a plot point because now they've got a little ancient baby their in the guise of the SamnJack spawn and that's a cool idea.
