Hrm.
I don't like Kennedy. She needs to die, her skanky-ass-ho self needs to burn in hell with flaying and stuff.
Shai and I marathoned 8 of the last ten episodes last night (I missed taping Lies My Parents Told Me and Dirty Girls because I'd forgotten The Vice was on the beginning of the tape), and, well, it wasn't bad.
I liked Wood. I liked Faith. I liked bits of it here and there (The Angel thing was kind of amusing.), including (oddly) the Spike/Buffy bits. Xander/Anya was amusing, as always. Andrew needed to be smacked around more often. Kennedy needs to die. Not sure how I feel about the fluctuating balance of power, but, dude. Poor Faith. Girl did not need to be in charge.
Wood and Faith? Cute couple. Loved most of their scenes together (especially Faith undoing her belt. Yes, dear, waste some energy on sex...). Even if the end was kind of silly.
It took most of the night, but I finally figured out what I didn't like. The writers wrote themselves into a corner, so, they suddenly had Angel pop in to Save the Day. It was fucking awful. I'm serious. The Slayers are fighting (and for what? Did Buffy REALLY THINK they would triumph over the ENTIRE ARMY? Yeah... Someone wasn't thinking, there), but it's Spike with his suddenly shiny amulet. What a fucking cop-out.
As if the writers went, "Oops. We can't figure out a way out of this." "Oh, hey! Let's have Angel come in and be all cool, and bring some magickal thingie." "Good plan, dude."
Honestly, there should have been more of a price. They didn't lose *that* many slayers, and the main cast (aside from Anya, and Spike's over on Angel now) are still alive. Yeah. That's such a high price. *snort*
Best line of the entire series:
Anya: What are you doing?
Andrew: Entertaining myself.
Anya: Why can't you just masturbate like the rest of us?
All in all, not a bad season, not a bad show, but... Popcorn, really.
And, Dawn? Suddenly grew on me. Like a creeping mold. *eyes* It sucks.
