Hold it in your hand....

I am alive! Here! Yes!

The last several days have been... boring. I loathe my job, but I will live. It is money.

Parents are suggesting I select a computer. Gosh. Any suggestions? I'm vaguely thinking laptop. But. Not sure. See, a laptop would be good, since then I can carry it all over the damned place. But not having a desktop might be a handicap. And I'd need an external mouse. Hrm.

I think I've been scaring other drivers. Gesticulation wildly while singing lustily along with Monty Python is probably not good to do while driving. Eh. They'll live.

OH! I'm reminded. Was filing, and came across a company named something like, 'MBA Labeau Erections Inc'.... Guess what my brain immediately read it as? Yes. Remy markets erections. Viagra-Remy, new from Mattel! Comes with his own lifetime supply of Viagra, free!

Also saw a Raimist something or other, and thought of my RatChilde. Miss my RatChilde. *smooches*

I may actually successfully talk about X2 later.

Hrm. I should go do the whole feedback thing. There are deserving people out there I've neglected...

Laptop! They're easier to take to cons. And you can use a mouse with them

Laptop! Laptop! Laptop!

(strokes nifty laptop)

I love my nifty little Shadowcat, oh yes I do!

But seriously, I am as of yet to find anything I can't do on the laptop, the external mouse isn't a problem and I've even gotten the hang of the touchpad now. (Shadowcat also kicks Rogue's *arse* when it comes to 3D graphics...eeeeeeeee!)

You should try being in a car with three other people all singing nisily along with Monty Python Sings. :)

"Here's a little number I tossed off in the Carribean..."

Hmm, must encode that CD...

Hehe on Remy's Erections. :)

*recently* .... ;)

And... I'm so tempted. Mmmm. Laptop.

Laptop!

The only downside to a laptop is that they're much harder to upgrade yourself, except for adding RAM... that's actually easier than with a lot of desktops. Graphics can be as good or better, processing speed is no different, the only other thing that suffers is sound, the internal speakers on a laptop are usually not real powerful. I use headphones with mine, speakers work too.

I dislike the touchpad myself, but is veryvery easy to just plug in a USB mouse.

I was a bit concerned about the touchpad, which is why I bought a USB mouse as soon as I ordered the laptop, after a week though while I've not grown to love it, I can use it for everyday bits'n'bobs. Image editing with it is a bit of a no-no...

...as is playing Half Life. :)

Personally, I'm a touchpad person, so this isn't a problem for me. I have a usb mouse that I got specifically so I could do some multi-button unixy things more easily, but I rarely actually use it.

Of course I have an iBook, which is SHINY. :-)
