So, about that car....
We went to the salvage--er, tow yard. Whatever they call it. And looked at Titania.
Harvey is gone, Drea. I'm sorry. So are the chickens, the 17 hours of Farscape, and Cable, Dom and Dot. They missed Stitch, I'm not sure how. Perhaps he was tangled in my underwear. My pilot's case is gone, the huge coat/cloak thing I made is gone...
But I have most of my clothing. And the dishes, and my Visual Basic book (yeah!). They didn't take the Systems Analysis and Design book, sadly.
My makeup was yucky, it's tossed. My pen fillers were still there, though. I have shiny ink. Sunglasses. Pencil case... And the sewing kit was all there, except the bottle of Night Magic I still had stuck in there from Gallifrey (wait. Maybe it wasn't there. Hrm).
The alcohol is gone.
I suspect dad had spare keys in the glove compartment. The trunk lock is still intact--let this be a lesson, people. NO SPARE KEYS IN THE CAR.
The passenger door lock was smashed out, the driver-side window is... just *gone*. I saw no glass, but I can't imagine they actually physically removed it. They did, however, try for the motor on the power windows--on all four doors, but I don't think they were successful. The battery is gone.
Given the amount of damage (and the filthiness, not to mention the gut-wrenching fear of her being stolen again) along with the various other things we can't afford to fix (plus the towing/storage fees)...
We signed her over to the city. They'll auction her as salvage. Perhaps someone into cars will get her.
Stitch is currently reuniting with his froggie. And lording it over the shiny gold dalek.
They took my camera and film, too. And the DreaCon pictures. Why did they have to take those? Gah. There was so little I truly wanted back... Just... I guess I'm angry and hurt and a little bit nervous. What will next Monday bring...
