(no subject)
My car is titled.
I have... neglected my music. If that makes sense. A long while back, Rossi sent me her Aussie Music Pusher's CD (sidenote: Why do I have this image of John Crichton having that cd now?). I listened to some of it, but I wasn't... I guess the words are, "in the mood."
Or perhaps I was still a musical snob, then. Only fit to listen to the likes of Depeche Mode, and the Pet Shop Boys.
The point is, though, that I *like* the cd. I've been listening to it at work the past several days (and don't get me started on what it's caused me to write. My god...), along with a few other neglected cds.
Kris handed me. HANDED ME, mind, the techno-remix tracks of the War of the Worlds. And. I have *never* gotten round to listening (shows how smart *I* am).
I heart Kris. These tracks rock. I can now be seen daily, dancing around the file cabinets...
There's also a bunch of Justin stuff on the one, including the Star Cops theme *pause to just listen in awe*. And a really KILLER techno remix of some of the WotW stuff. It's very... there's a good edge to it, menacing. That's the word. And it's so damned danceable.
Sadly, I have no names. Stupid windows.
I mentioned the bit about me being a music snob, yeah?
So, anyway, my ex-friend Rob once gave me a couple of cd sampler thingies, from various music companies. I listened to... one, 'cause it had Bjork. The second one I merely listened to the Bricqmen track ('Plastic Girls'). And the third I don't think I ever bothered with (I still haven't bothered with it, because I can't *find* the damned thing).
Hey, Knucklehead has the likes of Buffalo Tom, the Danbuilders, Bjork, The Greenberry Woods, Spacehog, Luna, and about ten others including Moby and Aphex Twin... I think my favorites are Kyuss' "Catamaran" and The Greenberry Woods' "Super Geek".
Oh. And the Electrafixion song, "Never"... Mmm. Ian McCullouch (I think. Must check this out).
The other album is Certain Damage, Volume 85. The tracks I truly like are, Talk Show "So Long"; Dubstar "Stars" (this song is so bad for Insane!Nate writers. I swear....); Emer Kenny "Golden Brown"; Ivy "Quick, Painless and Easy"; and LUXX "Kiss the Star"... Death in Vegas' "Dirt" is also growing on me. It grooves muchly.
I'd sit and detail my likes on the Aussie Music Pusher's cd, but it's been left downstairs. Possibly later... Hrm.
