losing everything on the downfall....

Thank you.

Mom and I discussed it last night, and despite dad's losing his job, she still insisted I get my car.

I have mixed emotions about it. Part of me now awaits the fourth shoe dropping. What other crappy thing is going to come down the pipeline to smash us to bits again.

Or, more accurately, me.

My ability to cope is definitely failing.

Someday, I will not work with morons. Someday, I will not overhear the constant, "Yay! We're going to kick those Godless heathens in the teeth!" comments that abound in the data entry area. I work in hell.

Luckily, the only thing that's saved me has been my, uh, ability to write porn.

And listen to very Bad Music very loudly. (earphones are my god as are Nine Inch Nails, Adema, Radio Iodine, the U2 tribute album, and Orgy... must remember that cd, too. Hrm.)

Coming home, the last thing I need to read about is more War Talk. Hence, my staying the hell of off DALnet last night.

I will not apologise for being snarky, rude, or otherwise. I am sorry if I hurt anyone. But I do have a breaking point, and it was reached before I got home last night. Dad's laying off was merely shit on the cake, so to speak.

I still believe this war is insane folly. And not the good kind of insane.

On a happier note, we picked up my car today (Mike, the finance guy looks like Joel Marks from Profiler... I kid you *not*). And I now have a 99 Saturn, that's the colour of drying blood. (Yes. I consider that an appropriate colour)

It's a very clean car.

*hugs Ana* Hang in there. Car is a good thing. Don't go anticipating stuff, because if it happens it'll just make it worse and make you think 'See, what did I tell ya?'. If you've got breathing space, breathe.

Hey, bad things come in threes, so you're all set! Clear skies ahead. *starts singing "Put on a Happy Face"*

Yay to the car!!!!!! I can't wait to see it. Saaaaaaaaaturn. *sighs wistfully* We must name it! And christen it. With a bottle of paint thinner. *eg*

Here is a cheery thought for you.
It always has to get better, eventually things will start to look up.

Oh, and Lyssie, do me a favor. Smile! Even if it is a lie, smile a little today.

P.S: Deck the data entry people for me, they are the kind of ignorant 'war-mongering' people that make 'war-mongering' people like me look bad. No joke, I think we need to take care of Saddam, we should have done it 12 years ago, and I praise Bush for trying to work with the world. But that is just my opinion.

*HUGS*

A pox on the data entry people, I've thankfully been wartalk free for the last two days, which is just as well because the next person who *does* offer their "expert" opinion on it n the shop will not like the reaction...

Writing porn and bad music eh? Doesn't porn traditionally have a soundtrack of bad music anyways? :)

Didn't even know Dalnet was back up to be honest...

I'm not reading the newspapers (which, working in a newsagents, is a bit tricky at times) or watching the news on TV because I'm so sick of all of the crap being spoken and written. One newspaper recently listed all 122 Labour party members who voted against going to war and labelled them traitors. I am never reading that newspaper again.

So don't apologise for being snarky or rude, you have every right to be.

And lastly....*biggroovyhugs*x10

Hon, you know if you want me to call you, just say the word. Hang in there, sweetie.
