and there goes the other shoe...

So, what next? Is the house going to burn down? Are my sisters getting evicted from their apartments? Will my new nephew/niece have some horrible disease?

Or will the bombs just take it all away before it even has a chance to occur.

I kind of like the last option. I can stop feeling any sort of pain, then. Clean.

My father was laid off today.

Thank you, to all of the people who put into power those who give not a single thread for the poor, the hungry and the destitute. You warm my heart.

If we weren't lucky, I would probably be living on the street. Or dead. I suspect the latter.

Let me repeat what I said, maybe you didn't get it: Bush's 'wonderful' job on the economy has caused my father to be laid off (he and 8 other people out of 12. 2/3 of the workforce are now jobless). If things were worse, my family would shortly be living on the street, barely scraping by. There's no way in hell we'd qualify for any sort of support from the state. So, we'd be just another one of those families that slip through the cracks.

And instead of feeding those families, we're going to waste billions on a war half this country doesn't even want.

How pathetic. I'm sure Hitler is laughing his ass off in hell.

I'm sorry about your dad. *hugs* I know you'll get through this, and I'll be sending good thoughts y'all's way.

I'm sorry to hear about your father. It's not fun at all.

Damn. I'm so sorry to hear this. My own father got laid off twice in the last ten years, but luckily we managed to get through somehow, so i know a little of how your feeling right now, although that probably doesn't mean much or help much right now. I really really hope you and your family all get through without any major problems, or minor problems.

*hugs*

The more I think about Shrub...

The more I come to the conclusion that he's teetering on the edge of madness.

Maybe, if we can all make it to the next election, he'll lose by a wide enough margin that he won't have the oportunity to steal the office, like he did last time.

That's the only bright side I can find right now...

Love to you and yours.

I'm sorry about your Dad and for your Family :/
I hope and pray that no Bush ever gets elected to an office of power ever again

I'm so sorry.

Powers grant him a much easier time finding something new than many people have/are having.

*hugs Lyss*

This really, really sucks. I can't tell you how angry I am with certain... individuals... right now. This is just so utterly senseless.

Give your dad my best, and I'll keep my fingers crossed that he's not out of work long.
