better be sure before you leave....
No news on my car yet. I'm taking that in a good way. As at least one person has mentioned, I'm greatly hoping they took it for joyriding.
The absolute, most amusing thing about this, is that the alignment's off, so the car wobbles at 60, and vibrates at 70; the speakers on the left side don't work, the ones on the right are... 13 years old, and sound it. The built-in tape player is also that old, and just as screwy.... And there was only about a 1/4 tank of gas in the car, with the accompanying wonky gas gauge.
Meanwhile, the bus system in St. Louis is a lot screwier than it was four years ago. I suspect the fuckers in the County not helping to pay for it has made the cutbacks much more dramatic to my morning commute.
Partly, that's because it was fucking cold this morning.
Tomorrow is Thursday. This is good. For one thing, it's that much closer to Friday.
One of the other things that happened on Monday, was that on the busride home, a 70-year old Buddhist grandfather (possibly a great-grandfather) tried to pick me up. It started with all of this talk about Space = Female, and Time = Male... And... Damn, if I didn't know he was going to try to get me out eventually.
Why is it I can never find a guy in MY age bracket. One who isn't working behind the counter at Arby's, even.
Monday was also the day of two hampers of mail, which we are STILL opening, because there was so damned much of it. All hail Marcy, who's the new girl, and who has opened the bulk of it while I've sorted decs.
Should go. Must sleep soon. Getting up early sucks, but must be done, if I'm to make it to work at 8am.
