Why my life sucks....

Sort of.

My car was stolen today. From the Metrolink park'n'ride lot. It didn't hit, at first. Or, hasn't.

But it wasn't there. Anywhere. My first annoyed thought was that my sister, or someone, had borrowed it without bothering to let me know. My next was that Bi-State (er, Metro) had had it towed.

Unfortunately, it was neither. So I talked to some very nice policemen (er, one was a County cop, the other was actually the Metro security guy). They took all the info, probable parking spot, time it was left, etc... And the fact that Drea's computer was still in the trunk, with my luggage.

It's not the computer, in the end. Or even the car. But. Damnit. They got the bottle of paint thinner! Bastards.

That was sarcasm, by the way. I don't think it's hit, yet. Maybe it will soon.

The clothes--I'll live (GAH! My Farscape TShirt! And... Now I really *don't* have a matching blue sock and pink sock. Bastards., I'm forever cursed to go matchless.)

But there were also other things in the bag. My action figures, for instance. Neon Green Cable, Domino, Season One Dot, Stitch (with his guns)... They're now going to need replacing. Jean and Scott ended up in my backpack.

And the chickens. Riddick, Spike, and Lestat are gone, too. So are pictures--DreaCon shots that I hadn't had time to scan. A roll of DexCon that was likewise. I think the roll I'd finished at MockCon was also in there (haven't checked the backpack yet)...

The huge bottle of Canadian Black Velvet I bought at the Wally World SuperCentre on the way home is also gone. My maroon velvet skirt, the cloak I made that was purple and swirly. My black pumps, my flipflops... Drea's computer pieces. My sewing kit.

Yeah. Now I'm maundering.

It can (mostly) be replaced. But... It's really irritating. And doesn't make sense. My car is a 90 Buick Century, with hail damage, keying on both sides, and the header over the headlights is a different colour from the rest of the car. WHY would you steal it??? (193,300 miles on it, too. What idiots!)

I think I'll go see if dad has a different work number to try. This one keeps putting me on hold indefinitely.
