Wouldn't it be nice if we could ignore all the signs for just one day

Have I mentioned lately how much I hate month end close? Because, fuck, do I hate month end close, internet. It is like all of the stuff I have to do during the month, but stacked on top of twenty other things that have to be done AT ONCE or the world will end. For reals.

At least this month I had a good handle on stuff, so it's mostly one last thing I have to shove through tomorrow (but all my JEs are in, the stats are tied out, and at least some of intercompany is cleared).

In other news, I have no other news. I don't think I posted a damned thing in May.

Though I did write some.

I've spent a lot of time playing through The Grim Tales games again (the people are badly done, but so many of the backgrounds are creepy and magnificent - almost all of the Painted World backdrops in Color of Fright are glorious. Also, occasionally, their geek shows through). And House of 1000 Doors. And a bit of The Secret Order (which is less interesting, and sometimes a bit "....er..." though I appreciate Sarah almost as much as I appreciate Anna Grey).

I tried some of the Snark Busters, and the first game was all right, but the second game you can't turn off the sound and the voice work is so atrocious. I haven't tried it again. Also, there's some weird-ass stylized "Tee Hee Sexism" stuff with the father in the first game that I was... unamused by. (locking her in her room and such)

Paul Darrow passed away. I'm a bit saddened by that, but. After Jackie Pearce, I was just sort of waiting to see who'd be next? Which is morbid, but. Also, I'm a bit embarrassed to say that Luke Perry's passing got me far worse (probably due to our ages being closer).

To end this on a happier note, I need to go finish writing some Yaz/Thirteen fic.
