I don't come with a remote, it's probably best that way

1. I have survived the first quarter of the year. Not that it was in contention, but you never know.

2. I went through and listed all of the hidden object games I own. I might have a slight addiction problem. That said, there are some I will probably play multiple times (and already have).

3. Seriously, though, how is MCF: Fate's Carnival so great while MCF: Dire Grove, Sacred Grove is so (to pun it) dire? Elephant Games, you nailed it out of the park with the first and then napped on the second. So sad.

4. Speaking of Elephant, I finally played Grim Tales: Dual Disposition. Sigh. The Grim Tales games have really gone downhill since sometime around Heritage (or the one right before it, I think). So much pick object up to place here, then get another object to place there with paper-thin plot that doesn't do much to be interesting. Even having Anna's mother round, while on the surface is cool, is just dull. She's disappointing as a character, considering that Richard was an asshole, the woman he married should have been a badass siren. Even her backstory is awesome! She was the Fairy Tale Detective with her twin! Then she got married and they drained all the life from her, apparently (to be fair, she starts the series dead and is still dead. But. She should have a personality that isn't Bland Mother Type A)

Which is to say DD wasn't that great. Also really short. Someday, they'll make a game as long as the fucking Heir, which is always like nine billion hours long when I play it (this isn't bad! The Heir is one of the better ones from the series or I wouldn't have replayed it twenty times at this point).

5. Since I've been working from home, I finally got up the energy to donate the car I wasn't driving (and wasn't working anyway) to charity. Hopefully, they'll get some use from it, even if it's scrap.

6. That said, I now am going to get a car, since they're starting to require us to be in-office three days a week, and I can't be having with that much bus riding. I'm not 39 anymore, and I need more sleep and less annoying stinky bus people.

(I almost got right back off the bus the other day, only the distant seat I could see made me stay on board)

7. I finally found the Midsomer Murders season I knew I'd bought but had clearly put 'somewhere safe' and hadn't been able to find for two years. The dvds were keeping company with the car title and Flux.
