what I did on my summer vacation
We went to the zoo today (work-sponsored family fun fest). And I got to pet sting rays!
They were adorable and some of them acted like cats, bumping up under my hands the way the cat does when she wants to be scratched. There was one which kept circling back for more.
Also, there was a shark, and he was not as cuddly as the sting rays. But I still got to pet him.
Then we saw birds and vampire bats and salamanders and penguins (although they might have been earlier). And probably some others I'm forgetting (and ducks!)
And rode the train.
And suffered many obnoxious children (people, leashes exist for a reason).
But it was a good day out.
