I just had a random River Song thought

er, cutting this just in case.

River told the Doctor--well, she was being smug and sarcastic and all that--that he wasn't there the day she learned to fly the TARDIS. He was, as she said, busy.

And, well, strictly speaking, he was indeed rather busy at the time she learned to fly. He was busy dying.

I don't know why I like that thought, or why it occurred to me just now.

Perhaps it's just part of how I ship them with the ridiculousness and the angst. hrm.

lol, I loved that bit in LKH. Like...River learned how to fly the TARDIS because SHE TAUGHT HER HOW TO, hence why River handles her much better than the Doctor does.


I also love that the TARDIS tried to tell Amy and Rory about River while still in her human/Idris form. I thought that was sweet, especially since they're all River's parents.


Er...that has nothing to do with River/Doctor though :) I just really love River's bond with the TARDIS and I like to imagine River talks to her in front of the Doctor sometimes just to make him jealous.

YES. and I didn't even think about Idris telling Rory about the only water in the forest AHAHAHAH. She loves those kids.

(ALSO I JUST THOUGHT OF THIS in regards to Clara: maybe the TARDIS does like her, but is being reserved because she MISSES HER BABY PARENTS or something. idek)
