1. Porn Battle Posting and all that jazz. I feel as though this year there were more het or f/f prompts than prior years?

2. I've been poking at ao3's dw fic, and just came across the summary "what if 'human nature' had been a Seventh Doctor story". ... ... People. Know your history, goddamn. (I ran through the Charley fic and then the Evelyn fic and now am working through Ace. And I still hate the "Ace retires and runs a charitable organization on Earth" canon. Screw that.)

3. the Big Finish audio drama 'Kiss of Death' has a line about selling people on Domo. I'm pretty sure the sly reference to Blake's 7 will go over most peoples' heads.

4. I had a huge stack of fic and entries open in tabs, and then glitched firefox, so now I'm having to re-figure out what I had open. (translation: I haven't left feedback on a bunch of things because I kept putting off reading them and now the tabs are gone, so it will be a while before I find them all again)

5. Personal fic peeves: Dorothy "Ace" McShane (yes, we know that's who she is), calling the Tardis "Sexy" (stop it, for the love of god), the lack of Erimem/Nyssa fic (all right, I made that last one up).

6. I feel as though I should sit down and write out proper episode thoughts on Elementary, Person of Interest and the stack of BFAs I've worked my way through.

1. PORN BATTLE!!!! I think there may be more f/f prompts, that's true (though het was always huge, so that I don't think I'll agree with), but of course it depends on who shows up to write.. I'm writing some weird Batman/WW thing, which I don't even know where it came from (okay, that's a lie - I read something about Clark and Diana hooking up and it made me annoyed, so yeah, shipper, apparently, who knew?)

2. My knowledge of Ace is microscopic and even I think her running a charity on Earth sounds ... bizarre. Really? That's how they ended her story officially? ooooookay.

i both lol about the human nature thing and think... well, at least they're choosing to remix something as a classic adventure? i'm more excited about that than 'what if it wasn't martha, it was rose!!' which i am not excited about at all.

And I sort of dislike "this is x story replacing some utterly rubbish companion, obviously Y companion with the bestest compantion evah! Z companion" stories, anyway, as, well, I prefer companions to get to keep their own storylines.

(actually, I seem to recall someone did a brilliant Human Nature/Human Nature crossover, with Benny and Martha running about, grumbling over his inability to do things properly. But I might be wrong on that)

1. Excellent! I'm always surprised at the odd pairing ideas I come up with.

Maybe there is more f/f? idk, I just felt like, watching the prompts, that were was less m/m. (neither a good thing, nor a bad thing, just a confused observation)

2. It would be like Kara setting up to run a charity. Unbelievable and improbable. (now, Dodo Chaplet, the OTHER Who Dorothy is a much better prospect for that job, as I can see Dodo doing something like that--but iirc, unofficial/official word is that they totally meant Ace)

Oh! If that's real, I would want to see that. I spent the whole time watching it sort of pining for Benny. It wasn't the same without her.

...I don't have anything much else coherent to say about this post. Although Johne (or John_AMend_All, I forget which pseudonym he uses on AO3) has written a couple of stories where Ace's charity, while it does some good, is mainly a front for Blowing Stuff Up, which mostly gets around things a bit. I thought they meant Dodo first, though. It would have been a great thing to think of Dodo doing. Not Ace.
