navy bean....
1. I have little to say on recent Person of Interest developments outside of Detective Carter, how are you so awesome? (I mean, the show is still amusing and etc, and I lie, because I also have capslocky commentary that amounts to being annoyed at being Ronned)
2. I audio-ripped Keeper of Trakken, Logopolis, Ghost Light and Curse of Fenric. so entertaining. (CoF holds up really well, GL is ridiculous and awesome and so gruesome--also, cross-dressing ladies, huzzah) Keeper is notable in that I have the suspicion the writers weren't quite sure about Nyssa (she bribes people and then shoots them with a laser), as she devolves a bit after this episode.
2a. Logopolis is meandering and god-damn, Doctor, stop transgressing the laws of time (note: Eleven still hasn't learned. Also, more Four in Eleven than I'd noticed before--picturing Four in Wedding of River Song is cheesy, yet oddly appropriate, even if Eleven is more Seven and Two)
2b. There's a fabulous moment where the Monitor and Four are talking about the Pharos Project on Earth, and how they're beaming radio signals out into space.
Monitor: I understand they're trying to get intelligent life to respond."
Four: Ah!
It was like watching two old fans go "LOL, NEWBS". Er, listening to them, that is. <3 (I suspect it was all in the intonation)
3. I'm terrified to find out how Castrovalva stands up, Monday.
4. Things I have not yet caught up on: Once Upon a Time (idk, my interest in Rumples died a quick death with the beginning of the episode from two weeks ago. meh). Things I have caught up on: Revenge (I have thoughts I should type into coherence), Person of Interest, Leverage.
5. I saw promo images of Katee Sackhoff's new tv show. IT HAS BEEN TOO LONG SINCE SHE HAS BEEN ON MY TV, OK.
6. While my roommates were watching Warehouse 13, I looked up for the occasional moments when Myka has nice cleavage and/or is being femslashy with HG.
7. I watched a bunch of Being Human (UK) last week, I need to organize my thoughts on that (mostly, ANNIIIIE). I tried the US version and, um, couldn't manage it (I don't think it's bad, I think I'd just reached my quota of "Two white dudes whine about how misunderstood they are"? I didn't manage to get past the s3 opener of the UK version, either, for pretty much the same reason--well, and the lack of a fast-forward option on netflix streaming)
8. I just watched the recent Marple adaption of The Pale Horse. Three DW alums, one Torchwood (and Being Human) alum, one Red Cap alum. Possibly others. Anyway, it was entertaining. Especially with how Miss Marple kept lying to the police (one time to his face, omg. <3) and stealing evidence from crime scenes (suddenly, it makes sense why I quite adore these newer adaptions. MISS MARPLE IS A PIRATE AND A THIEF AND GRIFTER. I bet she's Sophie's favorite auntie)
9. Speaking of Ghost Light, was Holmes active in 1883? *lazy*

Season 3 of BH UK is...yeah. I get the frustration. And yet, if you can mange to get through it, do? Because I think the finale has one of the best character arch conclusions that I've ever seen and I don't think a US show would ever have the guts to do it.
In conclusion: KATEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5. WAY TOO LONG!
7. BEING HUMAN!!! I have a ridiculous amount of love for that show and Annie is the main reason, tbh. I love Nina and all the other recurring female characters they've had, but Annie is my absolute favorite :D :D

It's not that s3 looks bad--for one thing, Robson Green might take his shirt off again. It's just that I want to be able to skim over George and/or Mitchell Angst Moments of Angst, especially since it looks like the former will find out OMG there are, like, other werewolves. And stuff.
(AND YOUR CONCLUSION, YES)

5. Summer! it's actually kind of amazing how many BSG alum have shows. Though did you hear? Michael Hogan is playing JR Bourne's DAD on Teen Wolf. IT WILL BE HILARIOUS. JRB Keeps tweeting the most ridic photos of them screwing around, and asking Katee and Tricia if Hogan was always such a weirdo.

5. Just in it for the pretty, aren't we? She's also to be in the new Riddick movie which made me suddenly want to see it.
6. Myka and HG are the reason I actually started to care about W13.
7. I liked how Lia crushed through all the Mitchell self pity bullshit and manpain in the premiere. Also the second episode of S3 is one of my favourites in the whole series and is the one that shows that Nina is a better person then you (and everyone else). She even makes George a better person. And Mitchell. In a way the whole S# is about Nina being a good person and most human of them all (or the only one who doesn't fail at Being Human). And unintended consequences. There is, unfortunately a lot of man pain but it's shown as asseholish wallowing in self pity. In the end I ended up as Nina's fangirl as much as I've always been Annie's.

JR is hilarious, and that is awesome. (and yay for summer, though it is not soon enough)

I watched CSI for Katee. *sigh* This might be even better.
I try to care about W13, and generally faaaaail.
Lia was awesome! And Mitchell being a monster has been something the show has been pretty clear about (Mitchell himself might be in denial, but even Herrick was always a bit *eyerolls* at his "I am not a monster" routine). My trouble is that the show thinks George is a poor poor misunderstood woobie trapped by the monster inside of him, and nothing he does is his fault.
The show also has no interest in Nina as a person on her own--she is missing from large chunks of the first and second season, and we only EVER see her through George or Mitchell's eyes (and Lucy is only Mitchell's sometimes girlfriend or Kemp's brain-washed scientist).
And looking at casting and spoilers for more of season 3, there's even MORE dudes joining the cast, but no women.
There's only so much white male angst and bonding I can handle. Hence. Fast-forward buttons.

I'm glad Nina gets more screen-time, as the show only likes to show us her through George's eyes, which is annoying.

I just loved Lia exposing all his bullshit. In a way series 3 ending was inevitable because him not being able to face the truth.
I like George but his self pity sometimes drives me crazy. I think the middle of season 2 was the worst. I just wanted to smack him all the time. Him making Nina's transformation all about him and then going through all that relationship stuff. URGH.
I loved Nina going to Annie for help for her first transformation. I loved that she went and looked for the cure because she didn't want to just resign to her faith. And when it failed she was the one taking charge and being proactive when guys just wallowed in grief and self pity again. She gets much more proactive role in S3. (I think the show generally has a tube perspective when we only see other characters through the eye of the core group and they disappear as the group moves on. As she is no longer outsider we see through the perspective of someone in the group but a member of the group.)
I don't think there was anyone joining the cast is S3. Some people are in several episodes or are a focus of one (including some old friends). Not all of them are men. I though the most interesting ones were women.

Nina has this BRILLIANT scene in...I forget which episode but she basically lays into Mitchell and tells him exactly what she thinks of him and it's just fantastic. I mean, I like Mitchell but I kinda agree with everything Nina said about him, too :)

On the topic of Nyssa, Lyss: You probably know "Keeper of Traken" was written without the intent of setting her up as a companion? Which is why they had to sort of handwave to get her there in "Logopolis." They seemed to have a very different mindset for approaching companions than for one-shot characters, which was rather frustrating for those of use who were 12 and going "Dude, can I be this girl with the pretty dress who makes her own kickass gadgets and goes around defying the cops?"
