sff: The Rebel Flesh of Doctor Who
I'm not even all the way through the episode yet. eta: and now I am.
HOLY FUCK. THIS IS THE SORT OF SHIT I WANTED FUCKING GALACTICA TO DO. And they never fucking did it. The idea of what makes us real, what makes us human when we share the same DNA and memories.

That was beautiful. I am in deep love with this entire concept of what makes us real, is it our memories? Is it that we're walking and talking?
I'm amused that apparently the pre-credits sequence was confusing? (srsly, if it was, please stop watching this show now)
I love that Neve from Red Cap was in it and in charge, despite making the wrong decision (which may have been the right one, in the end, and I love that her duplicate totally called her on it; fighting yourself won't be easy when you know all your own moves). I have this urge to write Cleaves/Jennifer fic, obviously.
The scenery is brilliant, I love the monastery and the Dusty Springfield, and the endless musty corridors.
Amy with her need to find Rory and make sure he's safe (how many times is he going to be destroyed in front of her eyes and then saved before she starts distancing herself from this thing that hurts so very much?)
I was unsurprised by the reveal at the end, and am sort of waiting to find out that all of the originals are really duplicates of themselves, anyway (kept by The Company somewhere on the mainland where real bodies don't get hurt). Because that's the sort of sick thing that makes sense.
Rory getting to care for someone and argue for them was lovely, and--also, everyone talks. Or shouts. There's no "i'm the one true way, everyone else shut up" going on.
Eleventy losing his shoes. And his TARDIS. ahahahah.
She's sulking about him running off without parking her properly. Obvsly. <3

I really liked the line "He had a human heart. A human heart!" There was another line I really liked too. But I can't remember it.

I keep seeing people complain that various Moff-era episodes are TOOOOOOO CONFUUUUUUUUUSING, and ... well, I know six and seven year olds who have less trouble with it.
Also, YES to this post.

YES to your theory that the 'originals' are also copies. Wonder if Eleven 2.0 will have something to do with future!11's death...

Rory trying to help G!Jennifer was very cute. And Amy trying to find him no matter the danger even more so. I like how such behaviour became their thing. Amy's the one diving into danger and figuring things out and the doer and Rory takes care of people and worries about consequences. So cute.
I suppose all the stories about emerging intelligences end like this so I also wasn't surprised by it ending in violence.
I thought about that too. Especially with Jennifer looking all uncomfortable about the deaths of Gangers and being all nervous about the getting into the harness at the beginning. I thought she was Ganger and she knew they are not just remotes. I'm starting to suspect it's going to be like Moon.

I'm pretty certain we're meant to, with the way ganger Jennifer wakes up in the vat.

Smith is younger than one of my kids.

My tv sound was acting funny so I think there's a lot of dialogue and details I missed. Must go find.

YES. Love this so much.

Me: It bothers me that Ezra Klein is one of my favorite bloggers and is 3 months younger than me.
Coworker: Dude, Obama is younger than me.
Me: Touche.

I think he might, but I think it might be too simplistic.

I think Jennifer just doesn't like being in the harness. Possibly for the reason that she already doesn't think about their duplicates as just duplicates. Which made it even more confusing when there were suddenly two of her.

Probably way too simplistic but it'd be nice to see them do something with 11.2, other than have him die.
