Pizza and margarita shooters...
So. After Fate kicking me lots yesterday (notably, car making odd noises, and the sole falling off my right boot... Yes. Falling off.), today has been nice. So far. I'm probably jinxing myself.
Got up after, like, only 4 hours of sleep. Too cold or something. And bored and fidgety.
Talked to dad. Ended up talking to my mother for, like, 45 minutes. Was nice. Saved the computer after it bluescreened and crashed. Er, shut it down, anyway.
Am I right in thinking an error on VFAT is a bad thing?
Right.Today. Went off and had my car tested at the emissions place. Passed, with flying colours, yay! But, damn, those twenty minutes of waiting had me knotted up and tense and nervous.
Y'see, when I got on the highway on the way to work yesterday, my car started losing power, and banging. It was... unpleasant. I got off the highway, and checked under the hood. Ended up deciding to glorp some more transmission fluid in (it's like a drunk--a little more booze seems the right thing to do). Drove ok on surface streets.
So, I was worried. I had visions of the engine falling out while they did the test (sits on rollers, and they DO get up to higher speeds...).
This, did not happen. Much yayness.
Headed to Clayton, put the paycheck in the bank. Having funds is good. Checked the Galleria for a Payless. There were none, so I headed up towards Northwest Plaza. There was at least a Wally world on the Rock Road, and, it was closer to where I was supposed to help set up for a street fair.
Found a Payless next to Wally world. Yay. And. They had a sale. Buy one, get the second pair half off, on anything in the store.
I won't buy comics for another month, but I now have black boots with two-inch heels. Mwahahahahah.
Drove a bit more, got lunch at Rallys. Mmm. Rallysfries. And headed to the house we were all meeting at. Got there to find out things weren't being set up till much later (I'd be leaving for work about the time they all showed up), so I left and came home.
Eh. I'm happier at home.
Of course, tonight, I get to decide, tape: Firefly or Buffy. Since, y'know, the Home Shopping Network now has the rights to show Buffy in St. Louis (is anyone else amused by this?). And I may end up watching Firefly. At least it'll be entertaining.
