1. I'm sorry, but I'm still all RIVERRIVERRIVER with some AMYAMY and ANGELS thrown in there. For the most part.

2. River and Amy! I love them together, River is so protective of her (seriously, I think River touches Amy almost every scene they have). I ship them madly, though will laugh if River turns out to be her mom. (though, apparently, many people think River is too old for Amy? Are these people shipping Amy with Eleven, because, um, the kettle rang up...)

3. The crack is connected to Amy somehow--was it living with it that attached them?

4. HOW AWESOME WAS AMY POND? SO AWESOME. With the walking blind and the talking sense to those silly soldiers and all.

5. River killed a man. Well, I can see how that would make her a dangerous criminal.

6. For about .2 seconds, when Amy started propositioning the Doctor, I was alll "AUGH" and then it occurred to me: The Doctor is Amy's favorite sex fantasy, of course she wants to give him a go once, just to see if he measures up.

7. I love how the Doctor's reaction is to go find Rory.

8. ELEVEN BRINGS RORY ALONG AS KISS PROTECTION. <3 <3 <3 (and it works, too)

9. How adorable are Rory and Amy when they're all flaily/kissy at each other. <3

10. Um. Doctor. You know that going to Venice never works out well for you... Tsk.

11. I sort of vaguely was sad that the alien queen killed herself? But, um, sort of their own fault for coming through the crack in the first place, and it doesn't make up for her destroying the lives of so many women.

12. I'm shocked Eleven didn't fall.

13. I don't remember where I saw it, but people think Amy and Rory are Too Young to get married? Um. Amy is 21. My parents got married at 21. Anecdata, to be sure, but my parents are still together, so I'm not sure 21 is 'too young'.

14. No, seriously, Eleven brings Rory along to protect him from Amy wanting after-danger kisses. This is the perfect working relationship!

I haven't seen the newest episode yet so I'm not reading that part but ITA with everything you said about TotA. Perhaps it's the very biased femslasher in me but I totally see River/Amy and I'd be slightly upset if River turns me to be her mom (it'd also ruin my Amy/River/11 OT3 possibilities :D)

I think these episodes turned more of the fan-base into River lovers but IDK what took them so long. I thought she was brilliant in series 4, too :)

You know, I can totally see it. Amy was eyeing River admiringly, and you're quite right about River taking every chance to pet Amy.

I'm all torn now! I love Rory and don't want his heart broken, but on the other hand...

2. River and Amy are LOVE. Of whatever flavor one chooses, I'm not picky.

3. nycdeb has pointed out, and I think she may be right, that there have been a couple lines about the cracks being "all through space and time." So possibly we have been misled into thinking they're following Amy because we're looking at events from her perspective.

4. I would attempt to show how awesome, but letters that big are annoying.

6. THIS. People immediately started with the "OMG another companion PINING after the DOCTOR and WHYYYYY????" And I was going, "Um, did you not hear the part about 'not thinking that long-term'?" Let the girl go after her bachelorette fling, people!

9. Really, really adorable. I love the photo booth picture on the stag party T-shirts too.

12. Or even seem concerned about it! Once he got past that one bump, he was all like, "Hey, totes secure here, no prob." And I'm going, "Yeah, now you have to climb DOWN. Which is usually harder."

13. You might be thinking of my post mentioning that, while they're a little young by the standards of our day and age, they look to be stable and communicate well and stuff. That wasn't in response to anything in particular, though, just general 21st century societal expectations. I imagine there's probably somebody somewhere saying they're Way Too Young And Therefore DOOOOOMED, but I haven't actually seen it.

3. Ah! Good point (and how thrilled am I that we are getting things from her perspective? =D)

6. I was sort of unsurprised at the reactions. I mean, I would have been exceedingly wanky if Amy had gone the "but Doctor, I've been waaaaaaaaiiting for you all my life." way. But I love that she's basically like, "I'm getting married tomorrow, wanna be my last fling?"
