If it is any help I remove people form my reading filter unless they only do an EXCEEDINGLY discreet twitter cut.. and then only once day (at most)

Basically.. if I want to know your twitters I'll use twitter..

Go to your custom CSS page (http://www.livejournal.com/customize/options.bml?group=customcss) and paste in this:

.loudtwitter {
display: none!important

and all the actual messages will vanish - all that's left is their header and the bit where it says LOL MY TWITTERS YOU WILL LOVE THEM.

Hate Twitter. Hate. Hate. Hate. To me it's utterly pointless, and Twitterers, for the most part, strike me as being a little narcissistic. I mean, wouldn't you have to be to assume people want to read all about the minutiae of your daily life?

Yeah, I can't decipher Twitter posts and they annoy me unreasonably. Or did, until I took the people who don't cut them off my default view. ;)

FTR, I have absolutely nothing against Twitter as a thing, I just feel like posting your (one's) Tweets to LJ makes about as much sense as trying to post LJ entries on Twitter. They're just different mediums.

Just an option if you don't want to defriend someone in particular.

Am I the only waiting for this twitter thing to blow over like the rest of the internet fads? I just don't see how this actually useful for anything.
