I like to think that there would have been.. something, a compromise, or maybe a LOT of talking. But I think she could have trusted them. And you're right about handing Nicky over--there's no way she wouldn't have, not without a little bit of trust (and she and Athena might verbally spar, but I... I don't know, maybe both having children has softened them a little in some ways? And if she can trust Athena, maybe she can trust Tory and the others, too)
