So. Torchwood, then, eh?

Finally seen Children of Earth.

I'm not sure what I think of it. Not outside of little things, like--

1. I think Adrift-Exit Wounds were better? I'm not sure how to say why, or if that's a good thing or a bad thing. But I loved the character pieces in the end of series two, and... I don't know. CoE wasn't flat in terms of Gwen and Ianto (or Lois or Bridget, who should officially be Gwen's contact in the Home Office now Jack's run away).

2. Rupesh (spelling?) would have been a nice addition to the team. Sigh.

3. I'm not sure what I think of Johnson. The State at all costs, y?

4. Gwen and Ianto and Rhys were, as always, awesome and adorable. Liked Lois, found all the civil servant old guys boring. um, Alice, Jack's daughter was, um, all right? She was sort of distracting, she must have been in something else I've seen. *finally makes the connection* OH. It's the black ops chick who shot Roper's friend in Red Cap. No wonder I was freaking out about her, she's a cold-blooded jackass in it.

5. It was sort of nice to see their families, though, Ianto's and Jack's (Rhys has always been there). Makes me want to smack them all for not bringing them in earlier, a bit.

6. So, the audios. Golden Age was utter shit (seriously, Jack is sad about his racist, murdering ex-girlfriend being frozen time? Cry me a fucking river). Asylum was sort of bog-standard meh. Lost Souls was mostly brilliant (Oh, Martha <3), and Dead Line was awesome. Possibly because Jack spends the entire thing in a coma.

7. Lost Souls thoughts:
1. The ridiculous introductions in the beginning. Oh, please.
2. Jack lamenting how he introduced Tosh to her life of crime and how he got her killed. HEY, JACK. She's probably happy she didn't spend the rest of her life in a 6x4 concrete cell.
3. The bad guy was obvious. :/

But I loved large portions of it!

8. Exit Wounds really did gut me. CoE has just sort of left me "...well, that was ok. I guess." I guess I was less interested in it as the thing went on? I don't know. I'll have to talk about it more later.

9. In the meantime, new Torchwood Cardiff should be Gwen, Andy, Lois and possibly Johnson. They need a hacker, too (I wonder what Kitty Pryde is doing...)
