*mutters*

The next person to tell me violence is a 'masculine' trait is getting punched in the face.

Heheh.

Now, if only I could lobby it into some sort of profitable thing and retire.

I keep going back and forth on the post this is referencing. I sort of agree with some of the stuff she wrote, but then I also agree with you.

Damn it, now my head hurts. This is why I don't like thinking.

Wait, that came out wrong...

This is in regard to prozacpark's post, right?

LMAO.

I can't think of a more effective counterargument to that statement. :)

o.O Violence is an ubiquitous human trait. Higher androgen levels (not just testosterone) cane make violent impulses more difficult to curb, but that's about it.

There's no such thing as too many female characters who can and do kick ass. Especially ones that don't have tragic backstories to "explain" them being this way, not that I don't love Starbuck.

It was the preface that got me. The point that non-violent means were less interesting to the BSG writers is valid.

In part, yes.

You would think so! Sigh.

They have to have been treated badly as kids, or raped, or something to that effect, yes. It's highly annoying for us normal girls who had lovely childhoods and would like to punch people at times.

There's no such thing as too many female characters, period.

Psst. Wanna know a neat factoid? If you were to watch the recent trek movie and watch the background, there's a 50/50 ratio of men to women. It kicks ass in that subtle sort of way.

How is violence even a trait at all? Its an action not an attribute. Anger issues are a trait, awesomeness is a trait, violence however is not really a trait, it can be the result of a trait but its only a trait if you want to fail Engligh forever.

Yeah, I mean, it's not like there's ever been Goddesses of WAR or anyth-

OH SHI--

Ace has only normal childhood traumas, and is both highly violent and a role model?

This sentence is absolutely hilarious.
