Painkiller Jane: random thoughts
1. I <3 this show and its teamy goodness. They mock each other, buy each other ice cream, and they all have lives of their own. Jane even has a boyfriend investigative reporter tendencies aside, he really does like her, which is sort of something most leading female characters tend to either lose quickly or never have. (or they're evil, in which case, PKJ does indeed fail)
2. Sometimes, this show is sick and twisted (killing someone's mommy to make them jump backwards in time and restart the day? Sick and twisted.).
3. Jammer's mommy, btw, was a member of the Quorum of Twelve. OH VANCOUVER.
4. It isn't the best written show, but it's... fun. And sometimes painfully stupid (The Healer episode springs to mind, as do both of the episodes that were clip shows). But there's a certain charm in the X-Files meets X-Men. (and if we'd had a second season, The Pretender would've been in there, too. Or at least The Centre).
5. I love how tall Kristanna Loken is. It's sort of awesome when they try to shove her in girly scenes, and they... kinda fall flat, because she's not dainty. *gigglefits*
6. At the end of one episode, she and Seth go out and get drunk.
7. Speaking of Seth, he is awesome, and I demand that he, Janet and Abby sit around and have drinks and complain about the people in charge of them who want ANSWERS NOW and do not understand science. All couched in careful, "this is classified" terms, of course.
8. Also, Narim/Simon/Congressman Faraday gets around. A lot. He is sort of ambiguously obnoxious in this, too. Sort of Faraday with some Black Ops thrown in.
9. Obviously, I should go through and do...caps. or something.
