ficlet: Farscape, untitled... Jool/Crais, PG13?

um. This is [livejournal.com profile] palmetto's fault. And possibly Rebecca Riggs', come to think of it. Vague season three, somewhere...

"That wasn't... bad..." Jool murmured, turning on her side and stretching a little. There was a smug little tilt to her mouth as she looked at Crais's naked chest and considered running her hand down it.

"It was quite adequate," was his reply. He looked at her, almost disinterested.

"Adequate?" Annoyed, Jool sat up, "We had mind-blowing sex, and you call it adequate?"

Crais looked... puzzled, almost. He stretched and pushed up to lean back against the pillow, almost as though his body refused to contemplate a completely up-right position at the moment. "Mind-blowing, no. Adequate, yes. Sex is, after all, merely a bodily function to relieve the tension--"

"Merely." There was something deadly in Jool's voice, though she remained placid-faced and almost smiled. "Of course. I forgot. Merely adequate. All you Peacekeepers are so alike." She huffed out a breath.

"You have exchanged relief with a Peacekeeper before, then?" Crais sounded more approving than actually curious.

"Lots," fibbed Jool before she made a strange sniffing noise, "You weren't exactly adequate, actually. I'd term you more..." Crais almost looked interested in her assessment. "Well, to be fair, I suppose you were almost better than nothing at all. So I suppose, on the whole, I can't complain."

Perhaps there was something in her words that tweaked Crais's pride. Perhaps he simply didn't agree with her. He pushed away from the pillows and caught her, tumbling her backwards onto the bed while she squeaked.

"Merely adequate?" He murmured, hands doing things that Jool might have admitted was more than adequate.

"Yes," she managed, though her hands were doing things, too, and Crais gave a little growl that made her suck in a breath. "I could be convinced otherwise."

"A second round, possibly a test of prowess," he concurred, mouth drifting... places.

"I'll score you--" Jool offered right before her brain stopped working.

Crais made a satisfied noise, then settled down to discover exactly what Jool considered 'more than adequate'.
