Heaven's a Place on Earth

The thing about being an angel--there were several things, Kara was coming to realize. But the main one--
The thing about being an angel was that you had wings.
Now, according to the angel who liked to slink around in the shape of a Six (she claimed that she'd inspired the line, and Kara wasn't so sure she was wrong about that), you could will the wings away, much like you could will yourself from place to place.
But Kara and Sam were a little new at the whole being an angel thing. And so while she liked the idea of being wingless, it hadn't happened yet.
So there were wings.
And wings are bulky things, full of feathers and movement, and at any given moment could send you sprawling through the air (the first time that had happened, Kara had let out a rather silly shriek. Sam still wasn't letting her live it down).
The problem was that, bulky things on your back made it difficult for sex. Didn't matter the position, because he had wings, too.
Kara was happily discovering what things worked, though. She was a little gleeful to find that being bent forward over a cloud worked pretty well, though Sam complained of feathers in his mouth.
Oral sex worked, mostly, and hands and fingers--and they could sort of sixty-nine, if they were on their sides. Technically, they could have a lot of sex on their sides, as long as they were sort of levitating--
Which, really, was the thing.
Kara could straddle Sam, hips rocking against his as long as they were in flight. The wind rushing past them, his hands tugging at her, her wings unfurled, sending them spiraling dizzingly all combined to give them some of the best orgasms they'd had in a while.
Problem was, it also meant they might hit ground, or startle someone with a display of naughty angelicness.
Or they could flip, with Kara on the bottom. But again, the same problems occured.
The other thing about wings, the thing that sometimes had her digging her nails into her palms when no one was touching her at all, was that they were sensitive.
Sam had discovered that, early on, brushing his mouth against one wingtip had made Kara suck in a breath and bite her lip.
When he'd done it again, his fingers stroking down the leading edge, she'd whirled and pounced on him, hands yanking his boxers off. Afterwards, she'd demonstrated exactly what it had felt like, and Sam had used his fingers on her in retaliation.
Now it just added an extra, arousing piece to their love-making. Not that Kara would ever admit to calling it that. But it was hard not to, with clouds and sunlight and no one shooting at them.
"Hey, baby," Sam mumbled, wandering onto her personal cloud and flopping down next to her, stretching out with a sigh.
"Hey honey." Bending, she licked his throat.
A laugh escaped him, "You ever get tired of sex?"
Since he was reaching up under her shirt, Kara didn't bother dignifying that with a reply. Instead, she moved so she was draped over him.
"You askin' if I get tired of you, Sammy?" Since she was grinning and relaxed against him, she totally didn't mean it how it sounded.
Sam tried to put on a serious face, even with his hands under her shirt and his leg pushing up between hers, "'Spose I am. Suppose you are, Kara. Suppose you're so tired of me, but you don't know how to tell me--" he paused in his rambling commentary to push up and suck at her neck a little bit.
Breathless, Kara squirmed against him, head tilted to the side. "Maybe I am. Maybe I should go off and find Baltar for some sex..."
"Nah," muffled, Sam continued, his lips brushing against her skin, "You can't stand him. Now, the Six..."
"She's hot," Kara acknowledged. She shifted and kissed his mouth, chuckling when he pressed up against her. "Hot, I'd like to maybe kiss my way down her back."
He pinched her nipple in retaliation.
"Like to steal her and go wear leather and be space pirates," Kara suggested.
Sam laughed and rolled, pinning her down, giving her room so her wings weren't crushed. "You would, huh? Could I come along and be your hostage?"
Humming, she wriggled against him, "Maybe."
Which of course led to sex, with Sam telling her exactly what he thought of that idea, his mouth next to her ear as their fingers tangled together.
Afterwards, sated and lazy, Kara licked his neck and suggested she wouldn't mind seeing him kissing Lee.
"Lee, huh?"
Content, Kara let him snuggle her up against him. "Why not? You'd kiss Helo for me, wouldn't you?"
"Helo kisses like a fish."
Snickering, Kara pushed up on her elbow and mock-glared, "And how would you know?"
"Asked 'Thena once."
Surprised into a hoot of laughter, Kara punched his shoulder, "Bullshit."
"True facts, sir," he countered, groping her lazily. "I've kissed Lee, though. For the record, he's not as good as you are."
"What?" Kara spent a moment sputtering, "How the hell--when?" she demanded.
"You were dead. Seemed like the right time."
Kara was silent for a moment before she sat up, wriggling and shaking her wings free. "And I missed it, hrm?"
"Yeah."
She stood and glared down at him, "Tory and Lee, huh?"
Rolling his eyes, Sam looked right at her, "Seelix, Galen and Maggie, too."
With a blink, Kara sat back down, away from him. "Maggie's hot," she grudgingly acknowledged.
Sam shrugged and rolled up to his hands and knees, sort of stalking towards her like an over-grown puppy. He flopped next to her, pillowing his head on her knee. "Love you."
"Uh-huh. Should I be glad you didn't run into a Leoben while I was dead?" She bent and murmured into his ear, "I hate to think I would have missed the opportunity to watch you kick his ass and then frak him."
"You're crazy," Sam objected, turning a little to stare up at her.
Kara smirked, "Love you, too. You crazy-ass, physics-obsessed failed rock-star."
Of course. The thing about wings was that, once you got used to them, they were kinda awesome. Which was why Sam surged to his feet, pounced Kara, and knocked the two of them off the cloud. They tumbled until they got tired of the dizziness, wings snapping into action and sending them soaring back into the air. They didn't notice the small girl watching them, her eyes wide with wonder.
