bsg ficlet, Kara/Leoben, PGish
set during 4.5 (if you guess when right, you get a ficlet of your own.... after the other three purimgifts are tossed off towards the mods)
Kara isn't expecting the kiss--not when he'd run from her days before. It makes her head spin, and for a time, Leoben's hands on her cheeks, his breath stealing hers makes her forget.
It's not easy to let him in further (he's got her in too many other ways), but the physical was always more her forte, and rising above him, hands spanning his bare chest while he watches her with eyes too dark too read, Kara wonders if this is putting them back on an even level.
The rush makes her head fall back, and his hands are too harsh as he drags her down, rolls them--
And this is normal, this is right, for them. She fights back, nails scraping down his sides, until they're both over and done, spent.
In the aftermath, he's gentle again, mouth trailing light kisses down her arm, almost reverent.
"Am I still an angel?" she asks, voice harsh.
His head comes up, eyes contracting to pin-points in an instant. Fear and wonder and something else mingled there for a moment before he answers. "Your skin still shines."
