clean and pressed, yay

1. People reading the BBC Torchwood novels (if there are any of you), can you tell me if David Llewellyn's 'Trace Memory' is typical for them? I mean in style, tone, etc.

2. I'm a little tempted to make myself write at least 100 words of Kara/Sam--and post it--every day. If only to get myself back into the habit. (or, y'know, anything)

3. I have jury duty Wednesday and Thursday. In searching for the paperwork, I discovered that I have ten thousand pieces of paper with scenes, notes and whole fics on them. Right now, I have so many pieces of stories to write, I will NEVER COMPLETE THEM before I die.

3a. Probably.

4. I discovered something while reading Trace Memory. I don't really like writing straight Torchwood fic. I far prefer writing them in crossovers. Maybe because the canon gives me exactly what I want?

5. I have spoiled myself quite a bit for the DW season 4 ender. Am still spoiler-free for TW season 2, however. eta: is spoilery comments, somewhat, yes.

You never quite explained how you were pressed.

2. O, good idea. I WILL write something for the porn battle. Even if it involves total abuse of a prompt

3. I SO want Jury duty and no one will let me have it. :jealous:

3a. Pinches your cheeks.

4. Interesting how that works - I think it helps to have a canon that is imperfect, oddly. I'm sure I've shared this fabulous and new insight with you before. ;]

5. Me too. So Rose = Helo, huh?

With, um, soap and water?

2. YAY. I keep trying and getting, like, two paragraphs and then giving up.

3. I would give you mine if I could. I'm losing 16 hours of work and getting paid for three.

4. I'm not sure about the imperfectness... maybe more that I really like crossovers? Because TW is imperfect, it's just that the imperfections don't annoy me (or cause headdesking). Also, they don't continue to relegate their women to having babies. *kicks Stargate*

5. HAHAHAH. Yes.

I asked her if she'd been talking to you, recently. ;]
