*looks like drowned rat*
Um. Apparently, there was a tornado warning for, um. The area I was driving in to pick up
nique from work. One of the DJs was saying, "and right now it should be at the Summerfest grounds" and, dude, I was... less than a mile from there.
Go me?
Anyway. Then on the way back, a monsoon appeared and we pulled over, since, dude. If I cannot see, for the ocean of water dropping on my car, I do not attempt to drive. And then driving back there were lakes and rivers.
I have never been so glad that Moya was a manual, EVER.
Apparently, in Waukesha, the water was falling so fast, the drains couldn't cope and manhole covers were popping up into the air.
It has practically stopped now....

*lol* I wish that were true.... I live in the same metro region as Lyssie's parents and it rained so hard here yesterday that once again, this problem intersection at MO Hwy 141 & I-44 flooded. (No surprise there, because oh yeah, 141 goes down into a gully that is essentially lower in elevation than the river just 1/4 mile north of the intersection... :-p)
We had like 3 tornado sightings in the region - one further west/southwest of me in Sullivan was what tripped the tornado sirens when I was up in Pacific.
I waited out the storm at parentals' office & then, headed home.

It is! I just hope it doesn't get all humid! I don't want to mold away.

Humid is the worst! It was so bad yesterday the floors of my department turned into slip 'n' slides.

It just was a monsoon for about an hour and then, finally let up. I drove home to clearing skies back out to the boonies where I live.
