I... might have thought Simm was awful as the Master, when compared to those who had come before him (including Cadfael), yes. Which did lead to not being interested enough--like at all--in watching the end of the series (it probably didn't help that the magic time lord becomes human device was in the other truly wretched episode of the season... though I've still not seen the Dalek duo, so that could be wrong).
