It took a cup of coffee...
I've been working on the top for the angel outfit. Sadly, not the wings, because I'm going to have to shell money out for part of them. But the top, the bit that covers my chest and middle. I wanted something all whispy, maybe over a tank top. But I found something better. An old white turtleneck. I have successfully chopped it into pieces, sewn bits back together and such. Now I need a trip to the fabric store for gold material, cording of some sort, beads, and lace. The lace is for the pants.
Once that's finished, I hit the carnival supply place for the wing-bits.
I need a halo, too. Hrm.
Actually, I also need to make the sleeves. I'm trying to decide what I want to make them from. Preferably something non-scratchy. Scratchy=bad. I actually saw some I would love to get. From the Pink video 'Don't Let Me Get Me', she's got this one costume that has long white sleeves with gorgeous fringe and bead detail. Want.
Saw Buffy today. I Was Made to Love You, and the Body... Was again noting that FX has cut bits from them. It's not even stuff I can pinpoint. Just. I remember little things.
IWMtLY has some rather poignant moments. When the robot and Buffy are sitting on the swings, talking. It's so sad to hear this perky little girl saying what she says. And even then it was clear what a slime-ball Warren was. Ugh. Made you wish he'd die.
And her final words. "It's always darkest before...." Of course, the capper is, 'dawn'... Considering what Buffy goes home to... And what was going on before Dawn arrived.... Er. Anyway.
I also watched other things... Undressed is back! Yay! It's reruns, but, hey, Undressed!
Oh! There was a movie on tonight. 'Cate and Cupid' or something like that, Mary Louise Parker was in it. And, my GOD, could they have made her look anymore like Lorelei Gilmore?? The only difference being that Lorelei has a hell of a lot more spine.
It was a crappy movie. I mean, guy goes in for chemotherapy, and never loses a bit of his bushy black hair... Riiiiiight.
It was like watching 'Dying Young', but with a different cast. Almost.
Are You Being Served? is also terminally rerun. Actually got some good advice the other night from Miss Brahms. She was having trouble getting a guy in a bar to let her go. So she ordered an extra large gin and tonic with lots of ice. Dumped it down the front of his trousers. *cackles* I must use that in a fic, sometime.
It's at least a non-violent solution. Marya, of course, prefers the 'break his hand/wrist/leg/ribs' method.
Hrm. I think I shall wander off now.
