1. Before I go further, Moya and I are fine.
2. Three shots of tequila = win (THANK you,
arrshley for leaving it here).
3. Yeah, um. Work kicked us out at 11, due to the *insert long string of swear words here* BLIZZARD. They're predicting 18 inches in some parts of Wisconsin. EIGHTEEN INCHES OF SNOW, PEOPLE.
4. Anyway. While driving home, Moya and I spun out on the on-ramp (the highways have been plowed, but the ramps, not so much). Moya is fine, I'm still pumping through with adrenaline. There were two others spots where it was almost as bad. One, when a stupid idiot going ten miles slower than me suddenly crossed into my lane. DUDE. I CAN NOT STOP, DO NOT BE AN ASSHOLE. And the second going down a hill. When you realize there is NOTHING you can do to stop your car, there's a sort of calm...
5. Did I mention the tequila? Because knowing I could drink some when I got home was the only reason I didn't pull over and just freak out.

Yes! Where you're like, "I am at the mercy at forces greater than myself. Namely, momentum."

Good lord!
I am at home partially because my allergies have totally kicked in from all the rain this week - 4.3 inches fell in Washington over 36 hours - so mold count = through the roof. Another reason - I-44 is like down to one lane at Valley Park because of the Meremac flooding. You would have thought that when MODOT was doing all this work on widening 141, they would have kept 141 level & raised I-44 up more there, because uhm, yeah, flood zone anyone?
And, 109 is closed in Eureka, so I would have to like take Hwy 100 aka Manchester Rd from Washington alllllll the way into Brentwood & deal w/ like 40 stoplights en route. :-p
What is it w/ the snow that won't end? When you're feeling better, go wander over to Medie's LJ - she's declared an impromptu porn battle for the weekend. (She's buried under snow drifts that are going on 6 feet and more!)
I think she's hoping we will melt all her snow with the Internet heat. ;)
Glad you're home safely... heh, welcome to spring, right?

Yes. One station was, indeed, saying eighteen inches.
Dude MODOT doesn't understand flood zones. They're like a blond, confronted by frat boys...

18 inches of snow? My dog wants me to inform you that she's coming to live at your house. ;) Because she actually LOVES the vile stuff.
