That is totally not dirty. Really! Anyway, quietdarkness explains way better than I do, so I'm posting her post verbatim.

You know, I vote regularly over on this site. This round my cause was losing, which was actually OK with me. I thought the charity that was winning and worthy, and that they deserved their shot in the sun. I figured that I'd rally support and my cause could win next round and I'd donate to the first place's fund drive with a smile.

Until one of the jackasses up in #1 decided to do a drive by cheap shot at parrot owners. An ignorant cheap shot, at that. This idiot posted Maya Angelou's "I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings."

This has pissed several of us off and now we're on a mission. Thus far we've knocked them down over 400 votes overnight, and with some help from you people over the next 2 days and 19 hours, we might actually be able to win this thing.
