am not in a happy mood.
If you're on my flist, and you say any of the following, please get off.
1. "I hope Gwen dies in a fire"
2. "female friendships bore me."
Seriously, have you people fucking paid attention to this journal at ALL in the last motherfucking year?

Uhm...I am sure I'd agree w/ #1 if I knew who Gwen was.

You forgot the end of that sentence: "...my PLANET."
1. Why all the Gwen hate, fangirls?
2. Why all the self-hatred? (Or do the ones who say shit like that believe they're honorary males, not stupid boring bitches like all other women?)
3. *stabbity*

But yeah. #2. I don't understand that at all, if you're, you know, female. It's like saying your own life bores you. I'd rather read/watch well-executed female friendship than romance any day.

Yes. Yes it has. And it will be again tomorrow. And then Monday. And then Tuesday.
And I could get a different job, sure, but 99% of the people in America are stupid as fuck, so it's not going to really change much.
And for the record, I'd be going on about pod people and finding out if you'd been murdered if you did.
Yay!
Still say my all-time favorite female friendship pairing is Troi n' Crusher. But I'm weird that way.

My planet. Yes. I would like to be able to order my existence better.

Well, Gwen is the worst of all woman-hood and such. Or something like that.

This is highly true.
MY MARY SUE, LET ME TELL YOU OF HER AND HER FABULOUS CHICK FRIENDS.

Because women, apparently, can only talk about men/boys/babies/sex. Or something like that.
Re: Yay!
Well, not so much.
Because, damn. Sigh. Hrm.

Nyssa and Tegan.
Troi and Crusher.
Sharon Valerii and Kara Thrace (when they actually get to share a screen).
Jean Grey and Ororo Munroe.
Joanna and Ruth (Barbara Hambly's Windrose Chronicles), even though it's mostly off-screen.
Chiana and Aeryn and Zhaan (mix-n-match).
Kira and Jadzia.

You sure you want Irene to hear you call her that?

As for female friendships... when you can find a good one, they are awesome. My current group of friends: I have more in common with the guys. *shrugs* and the tom boy. But the other two: bridezilla and drama queen, and while I adore them, their drama is killing me. I'll stick to the guys and the tomboy, at least we can talk about good action flicks and role playing.

I can't even type that without rolling my eyes.

That will have to do for now. Until I can get Vala to visit SGA and give the men a stupid virus while the ladies are left to save their sorry asses. Again. Hmmm.... *wanders off*

I was thinking of Kara and Sharon, too - there isn't enough of it.
Babs Gordon and Dinah Lance.
Ivanova and Talia.

WTF is up with the 'fire' thing anyway? How about a little originality? Oh wait, that's not really their thing, is it? Ah well.

Dude, I have no idea...
Maybe they could die in a compost heap? HELP THE ENVIRONMENT!

Sadly, even with, what, two weeks? Between them, I'm still not sure why you thought telling me men were more awesome because they talk about movies and guns was a good idea.

I've had really good female friendships in the past, i just currently dont. At this point in my life I'd much rather talk about role playing and action movies than get bogged down in a wedding that's stealing one of my best friends away. (I really am not fond of his fiance, but she's sure we're best buds).
I'd love to have close female friends again, but there really arent that many girls in Kansas that like BSG, and camping, period dramas and Quentin Tarentino.
If I pay someone, will they hang out with me and let me gush about Trucco's hands?
