The way they played that goodbye scene was very much like they both knew it might be the last time they saw each other, and Sam especially like he knew his last hope was leaving on that heavy raider.

Well, as Cynthia Arrow once wrote, Kara sort of brought him back to life, in her own way.

But, yeah, they did play it like it was the end (especially since he wasn't supposed to come back).

I love me some Jean Barolay fic. Sigh. Pity not many write her (not even me....)
