Meeeemeee! Plus, snow pictures.

Choose five series (no peeking before you choose them), list them, and then answer the questions behind the cut.

1. Torchwood
2. Blake's 7
3. Battlestar Galactica
4. Ghost in the Shell: SAC
5. Rumpole of the Bailey

1. Which is your favorite series from your list? And why?
Torchwood, right now. Though, series one more? I don't know why yet if I truly think that, though. And mostly because it does a way better job of making me love everyone than BSG (not to mention, not a single episode of bad retconning occurs). Although Rumpole is very high in my brain right now.

2. If you were to pair two characters from 1 and 4, who would they be?
Captain Jack and the Major. She would beat him up and then decide he'd be a good sex toy.

3. What is one thing you'd like to change about 3's plotline?
Do you have a year?

4. If both main characters of 2 and 5 were falling off a cliff, which one would you save?
Rumpole. Blake's already died twice, I think he'd survive. Rumpole? Not so much.

5. Which event was the most horrible for you in 1?
Are we talking 'make me hurt ow' type of horrible, or the 'god, that was bad and dumb' horrible? If the former, Rhys in the last episode and Gwen's painful reaction to it. If the latter, um... Well, Black Air did it first, I suppose. But still, raising a demon by accident? Tsk.

6. Which is your least favorite character of 2?
Ben Steed. Wait, he's a writer, not a character. Um. The Homiks.

7. If the antagonist of 3 were to rape the main character of 1, what would you do?
*snicker* You make it sound like Captain Jack Harkness would refuse Caprica's advances. Also, it would be hot.

8. What song reminds you of 5?
Honestly? The theme song.

9. Of 1, 3, and 5, which is the easiest to think about?
BSG. Sam and Kara are hot.

10. Are the protagonists of 2 and 4 similar?
I--um. The Major and Blake? The Major and Avon, yes. The Major and Cally? Yes... Batou and Blake? Sorta yes...

And, pictures of snowy things.

Icicles on my car, that lasted the trip home from work (this was taken Monday, iirc)

View from my window: yes, that's ice on the window. That's the upper part of the window. The lower is pointless to look through, as it's covered in snow.

There might be cars!

Door out to the back. Covered in snow.

View from the doorway, I'm not actually sure how deep that is, but I would note that, well, I'm pretty sure the bottom two steps are covered on the porch...

Your backyard looks very christmas card like and very scary.
This amount of snow in a UK city will and does cause complete and utter panic. Why cos we are never prepared. Wisconsin isn't that up near the artic circle. Do you get time off for stinking bad weather. Please tell me you do, cos you guys so need it!

So, are you still snow bound today?

No snow here, and my morning appointment canceled, sooooo.... I don't have a specific time to be into the salon today.

I do, however, need to go write a letter to a radio show host offering her a free massage once I get my rocks. (Yes, I'm having fun w/ the whole hot stone thing here - totally making fun of it, because it *sounds* crazy, but it works!) ;)

*yawn* Tis time to get moving.... must drop off house keys to parentals' house today (They sold the house, damn it! They just couldn't hold on to it to let me have it! :( ) along with something for their anniversary.... probably a Borders g/c. What else to get a pair or cranky know-it-alls who don't listen to you? (Either that, or a CO detector, since their CO detector is out of date & totally expired by like 3 years!)

Christmas card until you have to walk in it. *g* Not to mention, driving. Well, they shut down the city yesterday, but I imagine it's open today.

Nah. I dug out my car and drove in. I would have made it in, yesterday, too,but I don't think I'd've made it home last night.

I’m living on the 52 parallel (way north of you).
My winter consists mostly of rain and we’ve been drowning in mud for most of it.

I know people imagine polar bears when they hear Poland but I‘ve only seen squirrels lately (they woke up in the middle of winter!).

Winters like yours I only see on pictures from US (or Siberia ;P), although my father assures me we had something like that in the fabled times of his youth. In my youth winters were mostly warm and rainy. I had skates and skis and grew out of them before I could use them. I remember seeing pictures from big snowfalls in US and wishing we had such snow so I could go skating or sledging. Or that schools could be closed ;P.

We honestly haven't had it this bad in years, from my understanding. The last three years I've been here, I think our average total snowfall, for the entire winter, was less than 20 inches. So far we've had 72.

And while it's nice to take a day off, we don't get paid, sadly. sigh.
