all in the mind...

1. I wrote seven things for the porn battle, three of which ended up too long to fit in a comment. Five were Kara/Anders, one Kara/Kendra, and one Anders/Murphy (hah, crossover porn).
Booty Call (lonely)
Silences (crackers in bed)
Snowflakes on Eyelashes (snowflake)
All's Fair (ghost)
Need (stark, flight suit)

Kara/Kendra:
Not Expecting Morning Sun (impossible)

Murphy/Sam
Just for a Day (dust, wall)

2. Someone wrote NCIS, Tony/Paula Cassidy, and it was awesome. (spoilers for season two's finale) (please note that should be the only NCIS you read, as the rest is scary scary slash and het that makes me back far away, fast).

3. I. um. Guys, I kind of broke up with Atlantis last week, and I did dvr it this week, but I have no inclination to watch it (even with all of the squeeing most of you have done). I. It's sad, but I don't exactly miss it. In my head, Teyla and Sam and Lizzie are being far more awesome, anyway.

4. Secondary to that, I discovered that I do actually want to see the Sarah Connor Chronicles. I just need to get my brain off NCIS and do so.

5. I do not, however, actually want to watch the Bionic Woman episodes I missed. Sorry, Katee.

6. I decided the other day that I would NOT officially be old until some current popstar covered the Beastie Boys.

Whoot! I might have to take you up on that, if I miss dvr-ing the next few episodes (I've been good at it, though. We still have half a season or Eureka we haven't watched on there).

3. There are eps from last season I have yet to watch, despite diligently *ahem*ing them all. And I haven't seen four of them from earlier this season. If I watch it,it's fun, but if I don't watch it's okay too, y'know? But I was never all that fannish about SGA to begin with really. If Sam hadn't come on I probably wouldn't have tried again earlier this year.

Though Ronon/Keller were cute like whoa last week and probably enough to get me to watch next week in vain hope for more cuteness. I appreciate that they're trying to mix it up, and I'm curious to find out what's going to happen with Teyla's baby. TV solutions are that it'll either grow superfast and be evil (though they just did this with Adria, so probably no), die, or get kidnapped to get it out of the way. But Sheppard said something which makes me think they might be planning to *gasp* let her keep it and just deal. And I like Lorne more than is probably healthy. Kinda slender reed to hang fannish devotion on, though.

4. yay. :) My mad love for this franchise MIGHT be influencing me slightly, though. They're a lot more careful with the continuity than I had expected which makes me unreasonably happy.

5. Never seen any of them. I deal all right.

6. haven't they already been covered?

Bionic woman sucked majorly anyway "hey theres this really awesome evil original bionic woman out there, but we can't be bothered to use her for more than a few episodes so here's some boring save the world from a different villan every day instead" *sigh*

I like "Silences" the best despite it being the shortest (I kinda prefer epics). It fulfills my angst mood the way she misses the domesticity of New Caprica, crackers & laundry. Plus its really hot
he kisses her shoulder, mouth moving over her skin, while his hands map her belly and breasts
. I am convinced there is nothing porniest in the RTF than Sam's wandering hands....

Yeah, but that was just the icing on the "Our show is all about women being awesome, but we're still going to espouse that women need a man to be whole doctrine! Oh, and women can't be competent unless they're evil and/or insane! Oh, and women really can't save themselves, they need a man to do that!" cake.

And the middle layer was "we can't decide if our main character is Buffy, that chick from Alias, or a soap opera porn star! Isn't it awesome?"

Not to mention the constant "women can only have sisters/babies/rape plots! Because they're women, duh!" that Eick brought over from BSG season three.

3. I just... I was fannish about it, way more than it appeared. And I just... Teyla's completely predictable "she's a woman, so she's not smart enough to realize she should be Careful, OMG, because of her baby!!!!" plotline was obnoxious, abhorrent, and insulting as HELL. I called that entire plotline from start to finish after five minutes into last week's episode, and I was hoping I was wrong, and I wasn't.

Add that on to getting rid of Elizabeth, but bringing Carson back (so pleased. not), and I'm kinda sick of the constant undervaluing of their female characters.

4. As long as it's better than BSG continuity... ;)

6. Do not tell me these things! As long as it wasn't, like, Christina Aguilera...

Thank you =)

I think Kara misses stuff, and tries not to let herself think about it. But sometimes? Yeah, it's right there, in the forefront, and she's wishing they could go back.

Considering the size, shape, and prettiness of Sam's hands, they totally are. ;)

3. see, this is where only watching occasionally helps. I didn't see last week's. But I've been working on the assumption it was an unplanned thing for awhile now - Teyla certainly had no idea what Keller was talking about when she first heard the news so it's not like she and Kanan (sp?) were trying for a kid.

Carson coming back is due entirely to fans. The majority of fandom doesn't seem to care all that much if Weir comes back. Even at Flanigan's talk at the con, there was rather mild applause for her and rabid cheering for Carson, and that was when Joe was trying to get people to go bitch about her being gone. Personally I don't get the mad love for Carson, since I thought he was pretty much an amoral weasel by the time he got killed (and between them, Weir and Beckett were two of the reasons I fell off the SGA train in the first place with all their scientific experiments and dubious ethics), but, Fandom. This is the same fandom that can't get enough of McShep after all... *rolls eyes*

4. well, if that's the baseline, time travel frakks everything up, so I wouldn't be expecting too much if I were you. ;) But it impresses me that they remembered that Sarah died before T3, and have incorporated that into the ongoing arc. Things like that. I'd heard that they ignored T3, but they don't.

6. I thought I heard one a few years ago. But no, it wasn't Britney or Cristina. Maybe Justin Timberlake. ;)

3. The first three episodes of this year's Atlantis really proved to me that it was time to move on, and I was more than okay with it. The first ep bored me, the second one irritated me as well (so much that I just said "Fuck it" *delete* in the middle of the ep) and the third one made me realize that I just really don't care. I could see why people liked the latest ep, and I liked the idea of it, but I just couldn't bring myself to actually, well, like it.

4. I watched the pilot of TSCC, and I really liked it. I have the second one on DVR, but I haven't watched it yet. I'm not quite sure why I haven't dived right into episode 2. Maybe I'm subconsciously trying to spread out the new Sci-Fi episodes that I actually enjoy.

5. I've watched all the eps of Bionic Woman, but I don't think I can give you a recap of any of them - that's how memorable they were to me.
