THE NEVER ENDING SAGA CONTINUES...

Ok, so technically, I already had this session scheduled. But, guys. I'm really getting tired of the whole "teeth are shitty, need fillings/replacements" thing.

As last reported, I had a retreat on my root canal on the right side. For the most part, it's been fine. On Tuesday, they took out the temp filling, cleaned it a bit more and packed it all up for my dentist to fill permanently. Chewing on the right side has been a little iffy, if only due to the jaw being sore thing.

Today, they needed to fill the lower back left tooth. The first thing she tells me? "It's deep. You might need a root canal." What an awesome way to start the session: give me a fucking panic attack.

I hate root canals, guys. The two I've had recently were relatively painless, but I am so. very. tired. of being stuck in that fucking chair, with my mouth open, barely able to fucking breathe.

Srsly. Making me want to cry was not the most brilliant move on her part.

Anyway. Shooting me up, she slammed the nerve cluster hard enough I felt the pain right down to my toes. (there's a reason never to do drugs--needles HURT) But she did numb me lots, so, yay. I could barely tell she was working on the tooth until near the end when the nerve announced that It Was Not Happy (all the way down to my shoulder, in fact).

I'm now all filled-up, and they x-rayed me, just in case... But I'm crossing my fingers that it doesn't erupt and I don't need a root canal.

Seriously, guys? I do not have the nerves to sit through another root canal so soon. So, if you could appeal to whichever deities/entities you worship that the tooth remains fine, I'd appreciate it.

(also, if someone could remind me where I left the vicodin...hrm. I think it went to Burbank with me....because the numb is going away, and the entire area is protesting being molested. Plus. Filling CLOSE TO ROOT. OW.)
