er, there will be spoilers through season three, here.

You know the most depressing thing, about watching LDYB? Remembering how awesome I thought the New Cap Resistance plotline was going to be, 'cause Kara and Sam were gonna be in charge. They were going to do bonding things, like blowing shit up, killing toasters, and arguing tactics.

Instead, we got the stupid Leoben/Destiny plotline crap. And babies. And abusive parents. Because no strong female characters are complete or able to be strong without having been abused as children.

It's not that I think the female characters basically got stripped of all of their strength in season three, it's just that I think Ron and his friends are dumb as fuck, and don't think women in the resistance would be useful.

This makes me want to watch season four less and less. Hell, I'm pretty sure the only reason I'll watch it is to see Sam and Kara being hot. Possibly even in the same scene together.

I completely agree. BSG went way down hill in Season 3.

In a way I feel like all the main female characters got shortchanged last year compared to the first two seasons. I really hope that changes next season because I like all four of them better than Lee, Adama or Baltar :P (Not that I don't like them too.)

It would have been really interesting to watch Sam and Kara lead the Resistance together. I bet with their different backgrounds, they would have had some interesting conflicts -Sam might have been even more ruthless than Kara what with having been a guerrila warrier as opposed to military.

*snerk* I did that for the third season, too, and ended up getting Ronned way too often for my peace of mind (hint, Ron: BOYS KISSING would be good. Y'know. Since you keep picking up on things from my brain)

I kind of want to write two AUs now. 1. Kara stays on Caprica and she and Sam take out the farms. 2. Kara doesn't get caught by Leoben (and we still don't know how that went down, which is almost as annoying as Kara and Sam's lack of screentime...) and she and Sam run the NewCap resistance, with Roslin, Tigh and Chief.
