Alive. Someone said that security at the airport was a two-hour wait. That somebody was very very wrong. It took us ten minutes, tops.

I spent about two hours writing porn on Captain Jack.

Overheard a pilot talking on his cell phone about DC. He said it was a 'giant costume party'. Which, well, it sort of is, in a way. It's much more, though.

They probably got it confused with the wait for the elevators at the Hyatt. We ended up schlepping our bags down eleven flights.

The 'fangirl circle' was actually brought up at the Track discussion for ideas for next year. Apparently, 'Bob' had a really good time and thinks it should become an official afterhours event.

Despite not getting drunk, even I wound up with a sword. I found a replica of Elizabeth's kingly sword. The poor clerk kept offering replicas of Jack Sparrows, Sao Feng's, Norrington's, and I would only let him get as far as, "We also have Name-" before I would say, "Not interested in him [either]."

And I wasn't talking about just the pirates, either. I mean, there were at least a dozen sword dealers at the con so by Sunday night, every other person had one. (And they were all drunk).

And, dammit. I had no idea there were replicas (I was mostly oblivious in going through the place, anyway)

I didn't know either, and looked at every sword booth just in case. I found it on sight without asking. I am scary sad that way. I readily identified the sword right next to it as Sao Feng's (very appropriate placement). But that's not the best part. Oh noes. The best part was when we went out to the parapets for a break and photo shoot where I could crack my whip and guess who we found also on the parapets in an accurate costume?

*runs around gloating, for a moment*
