The Video Era: The Pet Shop Boys

I think I have said, on more than one occasion, that I rather adore the Pet Shop Boys. And I do. I might even go so far as to say that I might have Neil Tennant's babies if either of us were ever inclined--if only so that genius lives on.

The other day, I was joking about who would win in an Arte Vid contest, The Cardigans vs. 30 Seconds to Mars, and I came to the conclusion they'd tie. However, the Pet Shop Boys would beat them both bloody to take the title.

Their newest vid 'I'm With Stupid' is just beautiful.

Yeah, I just saw "I'm With Stupid" in the last week and loved it. I get the feeling I should watch a bit more Little Britain now. The self-referencing, at first, I hadn't caught on to because of not seeing anything before "Minimal." And then with "Go West," suddenly it clicked.

LOL - thanks for sharing! I love the Pet Shop Boys as well, but never get to see their videos. These were all new to me. Great stuff. :-)

hah! I'd just seen 'Go West' when I first watched it, so I caught some of it, then stumbled on the other, and laughed a lot at the send-up.

It is totally my cheer-myself-up vid.

I really need to get "Go West." It reminds me of Berlin now, because they played it at the end of the World Cup matches last year.

Also, I love the song "Suburbia."

Random is good. When I get back from the store, there will be uploading of tracks, since, y'know, spreading the love.

I'll do a post sticking up the other vids I found, too. (some are painful, some are just AWESOME).
