NO. She's not allowed to make to Kara captain of the Dutchman (although yes, I'm on board with that as her destiny). Because yeah, Sam's already waited and been patient and it's not fair.

Final Five aren't like normal Cylons nor (one can posit) mortals. Who's to say Sam can't be with her? Or at least can't visit? Cuz the reason in the movie (and is only quasi-canon at that) Elizabeth can't stay with Will is because she's alive and so she can't stay between worlds. But our Sammy, not quite being human not to mention possibly immortal, may be the only one who CAN go with her. If you, y'know, wanted him to. I'd buy it. :)

maybe the Dutchman isn't just for people who die at sea? you could widen its responsibilities to those who die in space. IOW not making it a direct x-over, but more a translation into BSG mythos. That way you could avoid Earth altogether. Calypso as one of the Lords of Kobol...
