But Kat's picture was laughing at them, and Karl was giving him an odd look, like he knew that Lee still had her photo.
And then Karl just grabbed him up in a bear hug (which scared the shit out of Lee, 'cause, GODS, but Karl could break him into little pieces if he half-tried).
There were tears, then, and Karl wasn't thinking when he pulled back and Lee's hand grabbed his collar.
Lee still had Kara's photo in his pocket, after Helo had left.

But kissing was another matter entirely.
Of course, it was Cadman who found the mistletoe, and Cadman who made him stand near the doorway during the annual holiday party. Byt the time Dr. Weir had finished all of her duties, he'd kissed every woman on Atlantis, and even some of the men (which, well, they just didn't taste like girls. Sadly.).
And he really expected her to ignore Cadman and move on.
But she didn't.
It was a light brush of lips, and then she was pulling back. And John was half-tempted to follow her and make it a real kiss. The laughter in her eyes suggested she knew exactly what he was thinking.
That was so it, man. He grabbed Rodney away from his conversation where he was expounding on his greatness, and abandoned him to the mistletoe in order to follow Elizabeth.
Not that there was more kissing. But at least he could finally have a decent conversation. Even if he was staring at her lips a lot.

COMING!
YOUR THOMAS JANE IS COMING, AND NOT IN THAT WAY!! HAVE A TOM ICON AS A PREVIEW!
Re: COMING!
The lips beneath hers were stiff and cold, and she had the vague impression that she really had surprised Thanos. And then he was reacting, hand plucking her up and off.
But it gave the others the time they needed. Brian and Meggan gave him their best one-two-bam combination, and he was staggered.
Later, she told Pete he tasted like grapes.

"He's done well."
Turning his head, taking in the vaulted ceiling, the darkness of the walls, and the women standing there, looking at him, Karl wonders what they're talking about.
He recognizes them both, of course. With his arms strapped down and his feet cold, he wonders what they're planning to do.
Why have the Cylons taken him, now? Why not before when it would be easier for their plans? He could have fathered a hundred children with a hundred Sharons by now--something hysterical in that thought, and he shoves it down underneath his other fears.
"Yes, he has," she moves forwards, gracious as always. Her smile is a hundred thousand watts, and calm.
So frakking calm. "Madame--"
Her hand covers his lips, and she shakes her head, "I think you're aware that I'm not, Karl Agathon." Then she bends, her lips almost cold as they touch his. "Our God thanks you for your many sacrifices."
The fear slithers back, and he stares at the Sharon beyond her, and the blonde model further back. He doesn't want to know what their thanks is going to be.

It wasn't something she would actually say to him--and, realistically, all of SG-1 need to stop trying to die. But it was Daniel who was sleeping in the infirmary again, after getting a staff-blast to the leg.
He was sedated, or had been, she amended as his eyes flickered open and he stared at her.
Mostly sedated, she convinced herself, as she leaned over and kissed him. Or maybe not at all, she amended, as his hand came up and cupped the back of her head, and he kissed her back.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1121!!!!!!
AAHAHA. He WOULD taste like grapes, wouldn't he?

Galen is giving her this uncertain look, like he's just realized something important. Cally thinks it's a little like hitting him over the head with a viper. Or maybe he was the viper. She's not going to consider that, really.
The uncertain look is still there after her lips brush his, but the hands on her waist are full of certainty.
It's nice.
So is the second kiss, the one he initiates.

The words don't make sense. Cally Tyrol tried to open her eyes, and finds that she can't. There's something over them. Her hand moved up and she found what felt like cloth covering them. "Wha--?"
"Shh." A hand closed over hers, keeping her still. "I said you're safe." The woman's voice was exasperated. "Don't try to move or see. Your eyes were damaged in the blast from Liberator's blasters."
"I don't understand," Cally murmured.
"Understanding isn't key, just yet." There was a creaking sound as the woman shifted, her voice drew closer. "You're alive, and you're safe." Her lips brushed Cally's forehead.
"But, the Cylons--"
The other woman snorted, "Liberator took care of quite a few, and your own fleet took care of the rest." Something like amusement colored her next words, "My name is Cally, by the way."
"But I'm--"
"Yes, I know."

In his anger, he was something other than human. It sent shivers down her spine.
When he suddenly stopped in front of her, she couldn't help but wet her lips. Maybe this time, he would--but no. No, he was stalking away from her again. Rather than touch her, he grabbed up a tub of popcorn and threw it.
Then he kicked it. And he kicked other things. Tore at them, ripped them to shreds until he was exhausted.
She waited until he'd fallen into sleep on the couch and then crept from her hiding place. It was a simple thing, to bend down. Not so simple when his eyes opened and he was staring at her.
Harley sucked in a breath, but she was too close to back away.
And he'd always taught her to be brazen, to take what she wanted from life. So she took from him as he'd trained her. Brushed her lips against his and then pulled back with that cock-eyed smile he said he adored.
Then she retreated while he watched, moved back to her corner and sank to the floor.

"Does the word 'tied' mean anything to you?" Anders shot back, amused.
She laughed, the sheer sound of it making her move into him. Elbow out, she shoved him into the wall, pulling away before he could do more than grunt. "That was not tied, Anders."
"Was," he retaliated, grabbing her arm and spinning her around so she was walking backwards.
Kara stopped, and he walked into her with a soft grunt. "Wasn't," Kara corrected him.
He didn't back away as he stared down at her, his eyes a little wide with something like surprise. "Was."
"Nah." Kara stretched up on her toes, still smirking, hand going behind his neck. "Wasn't." Then she was kissing him--or he was kissing her, because he was too frakking tall not to kiss with ease.
"That supposed to convince me?" He asked when she pulled back.
"You need more convincing?" Grabbing his waistband, she tugged him closer, enjoying the way their bodies pressed against each other.
"Maybe," he bent his head, kissing her, short, teasing little brushes that made her shove at him until he was up against the wall. He started laughing, and Kara poked him.
"Only maybe?"
His arms pulled her tighter against him and he smirked down at her. "I might need a lot of convincing."

And I had Murphy hit me that later time because--well, I'm getting off the subject.
The point is, Bob thinks Murphy would end up shooting me. Probably somewhere non-fatal, like the leg--if, y'know, we were dating. Which is fine. I'm not sure I'd date Murphy anyway. I mean, I'm not sure I'd date me, either.
Murph was under a spell, and to get her out of the spell, I had to do some fancy, ah, footwork. With my tongue, but you know how that goes.
So, we kissed. And the spell unraveled, and she just gave me a glazed look and told me I had to buy her dinner. Which I did, but then she forgot the whole kiss thing so I might have made her pay the check. Not that she objected.
Besides, I was a little broke. I had to pay Morgan for the sword I broke, and I figured Murphy owed me dinner for saving her from Ancient Mai, anyway.
Not that Bob believes me.
