SFF: I'm coming down with a cold edition
SG-1: Yippy-ki-yay.
Atlantis: I've seen this episode of Doctor Who. Where are the rubber wasps?
Painkiller Jane: Oh, dear. Hi, Connors!
SG-1
1. No Sam. Which was sad, because I love her, but as someone pointed out she was only contracted for 20 episodes of either show, thus, she had to sit something out.
2. It was just a pity she sat out the episode Ben Browder co-wrote. Luckily, he didn't write it with Chris Judge, or we'd all be going, "wtf just happened?"
3. God-damn, I love them all.
4. It saddens me that the show is cancelled now, since this, Bounty, LitS, and the Sam AU episode have all been so good. If they gave us a season of stuff like this, it would be awesome. Sadly, they're probably giving us more stupid Orii crap.
5. I love that VALA is the one who points out that Landry will be checking in with them. Damn, I love her.
6. John McLaine! Mwahahahah. I wonder if he has trouble with his wife? (curiously, His name is Jayem S. ...)
7. Cicero. Isn't he the guy with the string?
8. Vala stealing the bomb, then getting it wrong, then setting it to explode. omg. Can I have one of her?
9. Also? She carries her toolkit everywhere she goes. CAM. Don't mock her, that can come in handy!
10. Teal'c! He was awesome, with the Die Hard ref-catching and the looming, and the zatting people.
11. OH DANIEL. Also amusing, especially the "this is not how you do first contact!"
12. No, no, this is not the worst first contact they've had...
13. No surprise that they can't contact them again.
14. Also, hi, GW Bridge!
Atlantis.
1. Seriously. I've seen this episode of Doctor Who, it was called Ark in Space, and it had giant rubber wasps. I am disappointed in the lack of rubber wasps.
2. Poor Ronon.
3. I see Teyla's main function now is to... be diplomatic and a Girl and have her gun taken from her. Sigh.
4. Rodney! Shut up and just fix it!
5. Looorne! Also, yay for scheduled contact times that they then miss and send rescue for!
6. Though, I thought Rodney said they wouldn't have time?
7. It's funny, actually, when I was seeing commercials for this episode and they were going on about the Race Banks, I jokingly called it 'Underworld' another Doctor Who episode. Well. Herrick, who killed himself, was a character in Underworld. He was a member of Jackson's crew.
8. The Quest is totally the Quest, baby.
9. Ronon being badass is always nice.
10. Um. John in the glasses is, um. Wow. Kinda hot.
11. I did actually like this episode, it was a nice break from last week's Preachy Pointlessness.
12. Maybe they'll get lucky, and the Wraith won't come back.
13. Lizzie is not sexing John tonight. Sadly.
Painkiller Jane.
1. ok, the guy through the vent? That was creepy. *shudder*
2. They've changed the lighting in the Batcave. Which is ok. I really do like the teamy aspects of this show.
3. And they remember that Jane and Mo' were once DEA kids. Yay, for legwork and detecting! (HEY TORCHWOOD, please take note.)
4. The hospital was... nicely creepy. I wonder if it's the same hospital used in many Skiffy shows?
5. Normally, I don't find the guest actors all that great, but I really found the deep-voice guy playing Henry really good with his freak-out. He sold me on it, at least. He went from scary serial killer wacked out to scared little kid huddling in a corner. He's big. That's kinda hard.
6. Hey, it's Ladon the leader of the genii, who moonlights as one of Sam Anders' resistance members as a doctor! Oh, Vancouver, never lose your small pool of working actors.
7. Backtracking, I love Riley and his remarks about how fast he can pull things up.
8. I also love that every time Connor tries to mock Jane, or be a sexist pig that she slaps him down, big-time. Actually, at this point, I figure he's doing it just to see what she'll come up with to say.
9. McBride, btw, is amused at the interplay in his team, and I think he's pleased that they mesh well. And also pleased that he has two well-trained detectives who can interact with the public without looming.
10. Jane calls McBride when she has a nightmare. How cute.
11. And then they USTed at each other (hey, if my ROOMMATE is the one saying they're doing it, obviously, they are). Although, really, she called him after a nightmare. Dude.
12. Oh, oh, oh. I forgot, that during the Mo' and Jane show, when Doc said "I'll send ten orderlies" Mo' says, "Send seven. I'll be here." I LOVE HER.
13. As does Jane, apparently, given that, in the end, her boyfriend left her. But Mo' is still there. *cackles*
14. The doctor taking all her pain wasn't a surprise. It was that kind of achey hurt that says there are no happy endings and everyone gets screwed.
15. I like shows that do that. ;)
16. Oh, and Jane is a Neuro. . . . No, really? I NEVER would'a guessed, guys. After all, she has superhuman abilities! Everyone has those. Y'know? I do think she's going to hand McBride his ass when she finds out he knew and didn't tell her, though.
17. I'm still in love with the fact that most of this episode was Jane and Mo' doing Detective Work.
